Michigan State has looked way better than I expected them to in this tournament, and with that said I still have not see anything out of them that will lead me to believe they can beat UNC on Monday. Regardless of whether or not some of your players were banged up, 35 points is still 35 points.

I picked UNC to win it all, so it'd be nice to get that right after getting everything else wrong. That said, I'm sure I'll be rooting for the underdog once the game actually begins.

Just to think - if I didn't puss out and transfer from UNC back to Cornell before subsequently quitting my Phd program, I'd still be living in Chapel Hill and only be two months away from being Dr. Walsh. Oops.

If North Carolina wins by double digits they'll be the first team since the tournament expanded to 64 teams in '85 to not have a single game decided by single digits. They'll need to win by 26 to best the '96 Kentucky team's average margin of victory 21.5 points per game (closest game was a seven point win over UMass in the national semis).

North Carolina doesn't care about Detroit median home prices.

I guess this is the perfect way to end a dud of a tournament.

Well I think this was the North Carolina team that everyone was expecting when the season started. The one that was head and shoulders above everyone else.

I'm still kicking myself for not picking Carolina in my bracket.

ONE SHINING MOMENT FTW!!!

EDIT: Man, they sure are going crazy in Chapel Hill. Not sure if Mik would make it out alive if he was still there.

I've spent exactly fifteen minutes in Chapel Hill in my life. In that time, I saw a fight and I saw a guy drive his scooter into the back of an SUV. That was enough for me.

It was that bad in 2005, too. I have a picture hanging in my office of the 2005 celebration and it looks just about the same.

Except in 2005 there was a large bonfire that people thought would be a good idea to keep jumping back and forth over. Luckily no one caught themself on fire.

EDIT: Scratch that, apparently they were doing that again last night. Crazy kids.
