A lot of guys have been going nuts to start. Morgan Rielly has 10 points already, Voracek with 5 points and Kuznetsov with 4 last night as well. Maybe the goalie equipment changes are already having an effect.
This was supposed to be the start of the rebuild for the Rangers. They brought in a new coach and a lot young players. The season start out rough, but they've pulled to a tie in the Metro. It's been a fun ride so far.
They controlled the play for a good chunk of the game, but the 2 saves that Anderson didn't make on the first and third goals and Babcock not switching up the lines at all when they needed offence are what killed them.
Patrick Marleau getting a regular shift, especially power play time, when he was the worst forward on the ice all series is ridiculous.
Rask has been doing his best Tim Thomas playoff impersonation at the right time for the Bruins in this matchup against Carolina. I'm also always happy when Carolina gets knocked out by the Bruins (RIP Hartford).
I've been so conflicted this series as far as who to root for. Living in Raleigh it's been fun to see people get excited about hockey, but I also didn't want to see the Canes possibly win a SECOND cup before the Sabres got one (not much risk in that anymore) but also, as a Buffalo sports fan, fuck Boston.
Gonna be rooting hard for whoever comes out of the West.
