They've been building a match for 3 months with good promos and it's a match people actually want to see. So, let's put it on the Buy In, but instead let's put some random ass 8 man tag that has had almost no build, between Dark Order and Natural Nightmares, Scorpio Sky, and Matt Cardona on the PPV instead. We're getting Matt Cardona and QT Marshall on the PPV instead of Britt vs Swole. They know they can have more than 1 women's match on the main show, right?

I'm listening to WOR from last night/this morning. Dave said that Britt vs Swole is a cinematic match that's taking place at Britt's office. That could be the reason it's put on the Buy In instead. Can we stop doing these cinematic matches yet?

Matt Hardy shoud never have been allowed to continue that match. I saw that match and the Casino Battle Royale which was absolute garbage. The bump darby took where he was put in a bodybag full of thumbtacks and border tossed out of the ring was absolutely disgusting. There is zero way to protect yourself doing that. There was no need to do that. He could have done something way safer involving the same objects and gotten the point across. Someone is going to get crippled doing this bullshit. Darby from what I've read and heard from him is a pretty shitty guy but the point still stands that doing that shit is a terrible idea, and the consequences would also come down on whoever he convinces to work with him too.
also see that JR was creepy again to the women and gave an "apology" which he then ruined by telling people they need to LIGHTEN UP!

Wait, so he was kept overnight in a hospital and everything is fine? Something doesn't add up there. A CT scan and concussion test only take a few hours. You wouldn't need to be kept overnight.

I'm very slowly working my way through the PPV.
There weren't even that many kickouts or last minute saves. Page kicked out of the spike piledriver, but I've always been of a fan of 'guy kicks out of big move but then has nothing left and is immediately beat with the same move.' I haven't been impressed by FTR since they debuted, but if this is what we're going to get from them, I'm into it. They had so many fun double-teams and so much old-school heel shtick they used to show off in NXT, but rarely did on the main roster. If they can get something this good out of a couple of lugs like Hangman and Kenny, I'm ok with it.
Only major complaints are Page hitting everyone with little butterfly kisses outside of a couple of good lariats and Kenny trying to wrestle like a video game character, but they kept that to a minimum and the bulk of the match was FTR's.
Are you sure? I thought the match was excellent. Possibly the best tag match AEW's done. (Not that that says much!) There's only one section that I'd call a moves exhibitions, but it gets cut off when FTR slowed down and go after Kenny's knee. So many matches start slow and get bigger and bigger until the finish. Agreed with this. It might have been a little too long, but other than that, it told a great story. Kenny taking the heat and not being able to tag, then when he is able to tag, he decides not to since he doesn't really trust Page was great. I loved when Kenny was cut off, so he rolls to the outside to try to go around the ring to get to his side, helped by Page who is waved off by the ref, then FTR go to the outside to block both ways, so he has to roll back in, only to get cut off again. That was a great sequence. The post match stuff added even more. This was the FTR that we knew from NXT as you mentioned.

The length probably artificially made it feel like that, not to mention the rest of the show feeling really dull. I'd need to watch it again, but live it felt to me like it just felt the same kind of thing. But like I say I'll have to watch it again. I might be getting a Kenny Omega bias.
It isn't a bias when it's true 90% of the time (at least with the same person) as much as it is wariness.
