Boxing Mock Draft Sign up and suggestions

Me and alkeiper were discussing about setting up a professional boxing mock draft. Our suggestions were that we would have the 8 original weight classes, where you selected one fighter from each weight class, as well as a trainer. And alkeiper who has a boxing simulation program will sim the results in a round robin tournament.

If we can get some people in this, it could work out and be a fun idea.

I already have my first 5 choices in every class lined up, yet I'm sure the simulator will fuck me over.

Perhaps the top two fighters in each weight class after the round robin could match-up one last time to determine a final winner. It could be something of an 8-fight ppv, as it were, and, presumably, everybody involved in the game would have at least one representative in the finals.

I'd also like to put the kibosh on all drafts and tournament threads in this folder until at least well into the NBA offseason.

I haven't decided the best way to set it up, but if it's a round robin I'd set up a round robin followed by a knockout stage to determine a winner. I'd likely set up the finals as a two night megacard, probably at (old) Yankee Stadium. We could add a couple weight classes at 154 lbs. and 140 lbs. due to the high number of quality fighters at those weights.

Deadline to sign up is tomorrow. I'd like to start monday if possible.

We should continue signups into Monday, as some of our posters aren't terribly active on the weekends.

I'd like to give it a go. Are all boxers ranked, that way if someone can't make it to the draft, their boxers will be auto-selected based on official ranking?

Drafts are held on the board over a period of days to a few weeks. So there's no one night live draft or anything.
