If you go here and do a little Facebook BS, you get $5 off a $25 Amazon order. I'm getting a $10 credit for buying Saints Row IV so that means $45 GTA V for me.

Re: Gaming Deals & Steals 2013

The Microsoft Store has a pretty good GTA V deal going on right now as well. Buy the game get a 1600 MS Points code (or $20 after the conversion) free.

http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Grand-Theft-Auto-V-for-Xbox-360/productID.260620700?icid=Xbox360_GTA_PreOrder_081213

I almost ordered one, but then I remembered that I actually preordered from NewEgg an entire year ago when they were doing $12 off a preorder.

Bully is like $3.75 on XBL this week. I still have the PS2 version, but I might as well grab this.

Re: Gaming Deals & Steals 2013

There is an Xbox Live Back-to-School sale. I don't know if it's complete on any Xbox site, or in the buried sale section on the 360 Dashboard, but CAG has a good post about it:

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/316678-xbl-deals-93-call-of-duty-gold-big-back-to-school-sale-xbla-dlc-god-25-75-off-free-magic-2013-916-rainbow-6-vegas-gold-more/

One thing that caught my eye is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for $2.49. (Not Harmony of Despair, aka "Castlevania HD".

) I know people rave about the game, but the once or twice I've given it a shot, it hasn't done a whole lot for me. I may go for it anyway.

Oh man, Symphony of the Night. Haven't played that in over a decade and I still have fond memories.

Walmart Canada has some decent game deals this coming flyer. BioShock Infinite for $15 caught my eye. $199 for PS3 500GB console, or Xbox 250GB console. $149 for a 3DS XL. I think $10 for PlayStation All-Stars is good too; pretty sure it should include a voucher for a free digital Vita version.

Walmart.ca has some of the anniversary sale games available online. A handful are already sold out; several $10 games, for example.

According to the US PlayStation Blog: "Starting today through October 29th, for every $50 you spend using your SEN Wallet, you’ll receive a $10 credit back (up to $100)." The post specifically mentions getting $10 back on a $49.99 subscription for 1 year of PlayStation Plus.

BestBuy.com (USA) has some deals as well. Buy a 3-month membership, get 1 month free:

Amazon.ca has a handful of Sony PS3 games for $10 each.

Ico is currently on PS+, and Shadow of the Colossus is coming in October, for what it's worth. If you were a member between June 2012-13, you probably already have inFamous 2.

If anyone still hasn't got any of the EA Sports games ( FIFA, NHL, Madden and NCAA), Toys R Us has a sale where you save $10 by buying one and $40 for buying two this week.

Or if you want Arkham City, it might be cheaper at Get Games. People on reddit are saying you can buy the non-GotY version, and redeeming it in Steam will give you the GotY content free.

Don't Starve is 50% off on Steam, or again via the Humble Store. Humble does DRM-free, but Steam offers a 2-pack where you can save a few bucks per copy.

Amazon.com has The Walking Dead Steam codes on sale: $6.25 for the full Season 1; $1.25 for 400 Days (cheapest I've seen it); $7.49 for both.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ELJRCDO

They also have Max Payne 3 and its DLC season pass for $9.99. Seems like a decent price, if you want the DLC.

Toys R Us has some gift card deals this week. Lego Marvel, new Ninja Turtles and new Spongebob game all come with $15 gift cards. Spongebob is only $29.99 and TMNT is only $39.99 (and also comes with free figures).

They also are doing a coupon toward a future game with select pre-orders, including Arkham Origins. Coupon online for Friday only to get $20 gift card with Origins.

I went in and paid $130 after tax for the first three games and the $1 deposit on Origins. I should be able to stop on my way home from work tomorrow and use my $45 gift card on Batman and leave with a $15 coupon and $20 gift card.

Re: Gaming Deals & Steals 2013

Not sure if anyone else is a member of Best Buy's Gamer's Club Unlocked, but I just got an email about some major changes:

-The magazine is canceled in May
-Membership cost goes up from $15/year to $120/2 years (!)
-20% off NEW game purchases (up to 3 copies per game)

Everything else is pretty much the same as before. The $120 cost seems insane. I did, however, get a free 3 month extension, plus a coupon to get my 2 year subscription for $30 which actually makes it a very good deal. If anyone else got that coupon it seems like it's definitely worth exploring, otherwise I'd stay far, far away.

A 300% increase a year. That's a jack, especially for what? 36 bucks in game savings? That is all you get?

Re: Gaming Deals & Steals 2013

Assuming that's listed correctly it's 3 copies per game, not 3 games during the year. So if you buy 12 or more $50 games you'd break even. So I guess it's a good deal if you buy a ton of games and are cool always doing it at best buy.

That works out a little better but wow, they really went with a boast in price.
