Possession of cocaine is a felony in New Mexico. Not factoring in that it would be Jones second DWI and a hit and run. So, if this happened we may not be seeing him around for a while.

It's pretty clear at this point that Jones won't be in any real trouble. Hit and run without grave injury is just a misdemeanor in New Mexico. Leaving the scene actually ends up being the smart move since he'll now be able to wait for anything to get out of his system. He could serve jail time, but how often do you see that for a basic hit and run where no one is really hurt? Jones will pay a fine and do some community service. He'll have some excuse about the media or something and we'll get a bunch of "the guy is 27. He's just a kid!"
