Superbad was terrible, as was 300. I just do not get the appeal of Superbad at all.

Pineapple Express too...a buddy dragged me to that instead of Tropic Thunder. What a mistake, Tropic Thunder was so much better than PE.

I actually really liked 40 Year Old Virgin so I'm not a total Rogen hater.

The first three Star Wars films. People will always bring up their influence on cinema if you attack them, but I'm pretty sure that's not wholly positive.

I'd argue that their influence is almost wholly negative, tbqh.

You can add SCREAM to my list. I've seen the entire series and hated it. The whole, we're being smart in a horror film, thing doesn't do it for me. This was the start of the WB horror fad. The only character I liked was Jamie Kennedy's character and they killed him off in the second film. Always hated this series.

I'd probably hate Pineapple Express if I had seen it. I can pretty much guarantee it actually. Tropic Thunder was great.

Does anyone else here find themselves liking the vast majority of the stuff other people are listing? I know that's kinda the point of this thread, but it's still mildly disheartening to find some of my favorites being repeatedly buried here.

Yeah, I like most of the movies mentioned here. I can't believe that so many people hated Superbad. How can you not like that movie?

My main problem with it was that the characters weren't realistic (the girls, especially), and Jonah Hill's character was not likable at all.

I'll agree with Pineapple Express. I got a couple of snickers out of it, but no real good laughs

I like several of the movies mentioned, but it doesn't really bother me to see them listed. People have their own tastes.

I'm with you, Jingus. As I (think) I said in my initial post here. I think I at least tolerate every movie in this thread and love a lot of them. Weirdly enough, the ones I'm angriest about are the comedies even though it's an infinitely subjective genre.

I didn't like Anchorman all that much aside from the fight scene. Actually, I could say that about a lot of Will Ferrell movies; I just don't get why he's worshipped so much.

Gladiator. Well alright, I didn't dislike it, it was ok, I just didn't do as much for me as pretty much everyone else I know.

My dislikes...

- Napoleon Dynamite (Didn't help that my roommate hyped it up as utterly hilarious)
- Cast Away. Saw it in the theaters so it was at the peak of it's Oscar hype/Hanks is God mode
- Any Eli Roth movie, hello Cabin Fever. Hostel and Saw series in general are not that good. You can include the Death Proof movie here, although I liked Planet Terror more. But I'm not a fan of the "torture porn" genre so whatever.
- Citizen Kane. The directing/camera work was fantastic but as a whole, I didn't see the greatness.
- I'll second Gladiator. Should've been a disclaimer that it was a romantic love story with action on a side platter.

An interesting one: Underworld. I love Kate Beckinsale in it, love her character, and don't care much for anything else from Michael to the head vampire leader guy. I would've preferred seeing a Beckinsale led vampire group go up against Lucian's group and just have a general Vamps vs. Werewolves movie.

I greatly dislike "It's a Wonderful Life" I've never been able to make it all the way through. I think I might be satan, or hitler.

Any Seth Rogan movie, except Zack and Miri Make a Porno. That one movie caught me by surprise except Seth Rogan just stared in it and didn't actually make it. But 9 months or whatever it's called or Superbad, 9 months especially sucked.

I really didn't like Clearks 2, oh and Hellboy. I thought Hellboy sucked balls.

Nine Months was Hugh Grant and Julianne Moore (and Tom Arnold!), dipshit!
Noticed I did say "whatever it's called" meaning I might have been wrong on the title, plus someone else already corrected me on the title. Either way the movie still sucked.
