According to ESPN
The 8th 50-point game in the month of March, the most in a calendar month since there were 9 in December 1962, which of course was Wilt Chamberlain's heyday. (He had 6 and Elgin Baylor had 3.)
Bey is the 13th different player this season to have a 50-point game, which matches the NBA record for a single season, from both the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.
From my own search, only 18 players have had 50-point games at a younger age than Saddiq Bey, who turns 23 on the 9th of next month. (EDIT: He's not even the youngest to do it this season, as Ja Morant was 4 months younger when he had his big night last month.)
I plan to update both of these threads over the weekend. "Plan" being the operative word

Joel Embiid became the 5th player in NBA history to score 50 in less than 30 minutes of play, and came just 30 seconds shy of matching Klay Thompson's record of 26:33, the night the Warriors scored 92 POINTS IN THE FIRST HALF

Watching Jordan's 50 point effort against the Heat (and general MJ highlights) and one thing that almost never really gets brought up about his game was how smart and common-sense he was in his scoring. Very rarely did you see Jordan face a difficult, contested shot and if he drove past a player, he'd take the open area & shoot from there rather than just blindly drive to the basket looking for the foul. On the flipside, he'd work that mid-range and position himself for a clean shot to the basket rather than force a 3-pointer or work the clock down in a true 1-1 iso situation.
