I find it a chore annoyingly. But then all I've Done was the opening and arriving at the first proper mission.

Also had the game for a few months and haven't even got around to playing it once. Have no real desire to start either, which is a first for a Zelda game.

Re: The Legend of Zelda Series - Skyward Sword November 20th

Don't worry, you aren't the only one. It does make sense, with some minor alterations, but still it does remind me why I hate time travel discussions. The actual concept I like though.

Still, this means we're going to get a game in which we've got three Links who will need to repair the timeline to one.

Also, anyone else find it hilarious that the term Hijacked by Ganon was hijacked itself in Skyward Sword? I do.

Hopefully the three Links don't have to watch the Scooby Doo movie together.

Re: The Legend of Zelda Series - Skyward Sword November 20th

I really, really liked Skyward Sword for the first 30+ hours I played it, but I got burned out. I was trying to do the boss run to get the Hylian Shield and kept coming up short and I think that's what did it. I'm in the final dungeon now, but haven't touched the game since January, probably.

I also really really liked this game, but the Wii motion controls completely hampered my enjoyment and turned me off to the game.
I liked the story and the graphics and all but anytime I had to use the motion controls it soured me on the game. Plus they made everything take 10x longer than it should have.

It's from Gamestop's Black Friday ad, but I'm sure others will have it.

Aonuma was asked if he could reveal anything about the forthcoming Zerlda Wii U game and he simply replied: "I'll say more at E3 2014."

I've already got about 9 hours sunk into this game is basically 2 days.

I'm hoping they keep this new open-worldish format going forward into the next console game.

A Link Between Worlds is marvelous so far. Though I have to keep remembering that I can merge because I spent 20 minutes trying to find a way past a gap when the solution was just to merge into the wall to go over it.

I haven't played the game yet, but some of the Let's Plays make it look like something I'd want to play. I don't see why the merging is really a big game mechanic instead of a new item or something. Seems like a gimmicky thing to base a game off of.

They use it in some kinda cool ways in the dungeons.

I've always thought the 3D on most games seemed useless, but they do some nice depth of field things in this game.

I've heard its only a 20 hour game, so its shorter than most Zelda games. Is that a bad thing for you guys who have played it?

Just finished this, it isn't that long a game but it you enjoy Zelda games at all you should love it. Really good.

If you remember A Link to the Past well it does make the game a lot easier since many of the same tricks and secrets still apply, merging into walls does make for some cool new hybrid 2D/3D puzzles but it's not particularly difficult overall. Aside from one heart container i found and upgraded everything on my first playthrough without too much trouble.

The game is pretty awesome. I could have maybe done with another dungeon or two, but I think the length is just about right.
