I still really enjoyed Val as the Heat MVP workhorse from 04-08 or so. He had a pretty fun match with Flair that went around 10 or 11 minutes on Heat in 2005. He had another fun Heat match around that time with Shelton that I think was when they taped Raw/SD/Heat/Velocity in Japan. Also, the Punk match from that year was really good. But, now with knowing everything we know fuck him and I'm glad he never got the main event push.
It's weird that Taylor and Val are being discussed simultaneously. Their in ring careers are kind of similar in that they both had a lot of promise at one point before settling into some really embarrassing wrestling angles that they are negatively remembered for. The Kaientai Choppy Choppy pee pee and John Wayne Bobbitt stuff isn't as embarrassing as the Rooster, but no one remembers Val for his wrestling matches. Then they both settled into elder statesman veterans mostly working C or D shows while now they both are some of the most detestable human trash in the wrestling business.
