Only watched the first two so far. Episodes 3 and 4 are available on Showtime on Demand as well as various streaming outlets that carry Showtime like Hulu before they air next week.
Wow, there's a lot to digest. This definitely feels like Lynch is aiming for this to be his magnum opus as there are a ton of nods to his other work and the feel from these two episodes is more Lost Highway, Eraserhead, or Inland Empire which might piss people off expecting the quirky Twin Peaks vibe. It's incredibly dark and mean. I wasn't expecting the scope to be this big which is a great way to take the show.
That was probably better than I even imagined. This is pure David Lynch.

It took me a second to take Cooper Bob seriously with the long hair making him look similar to Gene Simmons or Glenn Danzig, but Kyle Maclachlan was creepy and menacing. Can't wait to see how far his rampage is gonna go.
The disturbing imagery was in full effect with probably five scenes really unnerving me. You can add the creature in the glass box and the weird hobo thing in the prison with Robert Blake's mystery man, Bob, the Eraserhead baby, and the thing behind the dumpster at Winkie's in the David Lynch Nightmare factory.
I kind of groaned when I realized that was Matthew Lillard, but he was actually good in his two scenes. The new characters didn't do a whole lot yet but I'm intrigued to see what Jennifer Jason Leigh is gonna do and if Ashley Judd's part is bigger than lady Ben Horne will ogle.
I loved the nostalgic Twin peaks moments like the Ben and Jerry scene and even seeing stupid James again got me to mark out a bit. It looks like Hawk might play a bigger role here, which is great. The scene with the Good Dale/Laura in The Black Lodge gave me goosebumps. Sheryl Lee still has a shit ton of screen presence and magnetism.
