If you don't watch Being The Elite I would suggest you watch the newest episode at least. It delves into the BC storyline further.

Spoiler: show
Marty and the Bucks don't seem on board with Cody and Hangman. The final shot of the episode is Kenny and Ibushi showing up at the Young Bucks hotel room and the Bucks letting them in then closing the door.
I watched RAW. I thought it sucked. The usual problems and such.

I kind of like the stable name "Six Lunatics" for Naito, Okada, Tenzan, Kojima, Tanahashi & Yano.  ;D

So on Being the Elite they all have "powers". Cody has super hearing, Matt Jackson has super smell and Nick Jackson has the power to see the future.
He had one of his future Visions at the end of the episode and it was Colt Cabana and Ian Riccaboni at SuperCard of Honor talking about the big upcoming Kenny Omega vs Cody Rhodes match and then they showed the graphic for the SuperCard of Honor match to end the episode.
I watched RAW. I thought it sucked. The usual problems and such.

AJPW is launching an offical streaming service.

All Japan Pro Wrestling is launching a streaming service, with the price set to be 900 yen (currently $8.17) per month. Further details, including the content that will be on it, have yet to be announced. There are ownership issues that may prevent older content from being uploaded.

Also:
AJPW revealed the blocks for this year’s Champion Carnival:
A Block: Kento Miyahara, Shuji Ishikawa, Yuji Hino, Shingo Takagi, Ryoji Sai, The Bodyguard, Naoya Nomura, and Joe Doering.
B Block: Jun Akiyama, KAI, Zeus, Naomichi Marufuji, Suwama, Yoshitatsu, Yutaka Yoshie, and James Raideen

Blocks look better than they have for a good while. Shingo and Marufuji are great outsiders. Raideen I'm not sure of. I've seen a bit of his stuff and not been impressed much.

Is AJPW any good? I haven't watched much since the days of Voodoo Murders and TARU getting fired for nearly killing Hirai backstage.

if you like muscley dudes and strong fat dudes bringing the clubbering yeah it's pretty damn fun. Lot of good talent in the heavyweight scene as most of the guys in the CC are regulars plus theres Sekimoto and Okabayashi.

Yep they're both there still. Suwama is in the CC.

this seems fairly update. I haven't watched anything from them this year yet (I'm catching up on my dragon gate backlog still) but if you check the 2017 motyc there's a few matches in there.

How is Yoshi Tatsu doing? Meltzer rated the latest AJPW tag title match featuring him very highly so I'm wondering if he's improved.

He was in there with 3 really great workers so that was a big part of it. that's the one only one I've seen with him so far. Most people I've heard talk about him aren't that impressed but I'll have to see more.

NJPW is bringing back the LA Dojo.
https://www.njpw1972.com/21852

Before it produced some very good wrestlers but was the site of an Inoki power struggle from what I understand between Antonio and Simon.
Guess they won't have to worry about that now.

Spoiler: show
I hate Ospreay so much. None of his offense looks believable and Hiromu is just worlds above him. The match was good because of Hiromu. Naito/Yoshihashi was fun underdog/asshole main eventer stuff. EVIL/Goto was a let down in a tough spot. Okada/SANADA was fantastic IMO. Okada is the best in the world at making you think his opponent can win. You KNOW SANADA won't win but the match story is so good and the near falls so close you get sucked in.

Poor Marty :(

Twist. Hangman tweeted out he did agree to this. Hangman is going to stay heel with Cody apparently. I still think it'll only be Cody and the Bucks that split and Marty will eventually go true villain and stay with Cody.

As far as I'm concerned Fale is the true leader of the Bullet Club after AJ left, and he only LET AJ run things. He's chill like that.

I'm all the way up to the end of Kobe World Festival 2016 now in Dragon Gate (I was back at that point in 2013 just in November so I'm burning through it) and I have a few short thoughts:

1. They missed the boat on Tozawa so bad. He could have been a gigantic star. The reactions after he turned face were bigger than anything Hulk/YAMATO/Shingo have gotten no matter how hard they've been pushed over the years.

2. The Millenials were broken up much too soon and T-Hawk lost all the momentum he was building. The only one who didn't seem to suffer was Maria.

3. Big R Shimizu is fantastic.

4. KZY is a better face than a heel and I thought he would never work as a face so that's impressive.

5. Shingo just doesn't click. The matches are there but as an act he just is never over enough.

6. The Jimmyz are boring as fuck and do the same matches over and over and they just won't go away. At least they're mostly undercard.

re: Tozawa, agreed.  He seemed like DG's version of Daniel Bryan where he was super-over with crowds but for some reason DG management was never keen on him.  With the Monster Express fallout, he should have been the one to end Shingo's reign of terror and be the last of the Big 6 to win the Dream Gate, but instead they went with the Yamato redemption story.  End result: Tozawa rightfully bails and the Yamato face reign bombed.

re: Shimizu, agreed there too, though their treatment of him the last several months has been weird.  For a good while last year he was pretty protected, getting several big singles wins and not taking the pins in his two tag title challenge losses against CK-1.  Since Final Gate, he's lost in every singles match and has taken the pin in nearly every tag/6-man loss.  In DG, losing streaks usually precede heel turns and/or faction removal, which I hope isn't the case due to him being a good face of which DG has a shortage, plus Kotoka's retirement is already cutting down MaxiMuM by one.

re: Kzy, supposedly his Dream Gate match with Mochi last week was a must-watch, but neither the Korakuen event nor the individual match have shown up in any of the normal places I go for DG shows.

What's your opinion of Ben-K so far?  I think he's quickly becoming one of my favorite young guys there, and he's apparently impressed enough that he's Mochi's next OTDG challenger on March 4th in Osaka.

I haven't seen anything from him yet, He gets injured on the shows I'm watching now while still under his real name (I assume it's his real name) working the SATL. I don't watch the complete shows so I don't have every match. I grab what looks interesting at the time its uploaded or anything that's over like 12-15 minutes (total file size) because I don't really care about Dragon Gate opening comedy bs anymore. I keep what I like...I keep very little Jimmyz that isn't main event stuff.

Want to give a shout to Eita as well when talking about the young guys because he's pretty terrific. They have a few young talents that seem to have potential but I don't know that they'll do a lot with them.

Anniversary Card for NJPW

NJPW “Anniversary Event” 3/6/18 [Tue] 19:00 @ the Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo
(1) Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Jushin “Thunder” Liger, Tiger Mask, KUSHIDA & Ryusuke Taguchi vs Yuji Nagata, Toa Henare, Tomoyuki Oka, Shota Umino & Tetsuhiro Yagi
(2) Katsuya Kitamura 7 Match Trial Series: Katsuya Kitamura vs Manabu Nakanishi
(3) Juice Robinson & David Finlay vs Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano
(4) IWGP Jr. Tag Championship 3WAY Match: [56th Champions] YOH & SHO vs BUSHI & Hiromu Takahashi vs Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desperado
(5) Special Tag Match: Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI vs EVIL & SANADA
(6) Special Singles Match: Tetsuya Naito vs Taichi
(7) IWGP Intercontinental Championship Match: [17th Champion] Minoru Suzuki vs Togi Makabe
(8) Anniversary Special Day Singles Match: Kazuchika Okada vs Will Ospreay

Kind of weak IMO. Ospreay/Okada is pretty unlikely to live up to Okada/TigerMaskW(Ibushi) from last year although I'm sure it will have more spiny moves. I like Makabe but he hasn't really brought it in the last several years, maybe he'll be able to kick it up a notch though. Taichi is terrible and Naito will have to be a miracle worker to get much out of him.

EVIL broke his left orbital bone during the last stretch of this NJPW Aussie/Euro tour. Kinda surprised he was the only one to be injured as it seems like any wrestling company that tries to do one of these things now a days ends up with at least 3 or 4 people getting injured from a schedule like that.

Damn that really sucks. Although with them doing the NJ Cup coming up they can probably keep the belts on them since they wouldn't likely be defending them anyway. Hopefully he takes some real time off to heal it.

EVIL for sure has to take some time off, I just meant that with the schedule right now they could probably keep the belt on he and SANADA since they'll be running the singles tourny. I don't think they've announced whose in it yet so they'll hopefully pull him from it and give him a good rest. Hopefully Tanahashi isn't coming back yet either as he needs all the rest he can get.

What all happened?

They had a 6-man.

The story was that Marty wasn't really down to fight the other guys but Cody and Hangman were pushing him including getting onto him several times. Marty did lapse into his villain persona a few times, including threatening to break Kenny's fingers. But he had second thoughts a few times and then Ibushi kicked him in the back.
He also refused to mock the Terminator dive with Cody and Hangman.

Chase Owens meanwhile had no trouble throwing down with the other guys and wrestled the majority of the match as the face in peril but he had some good comebacks too.

The finish was Owens eating the Right of Passage and the pin.

After the match Kenny and Cody brawled until the Young Bucks and Marty broke it up. Then Kenny and Ibushi went to the back by themselves while the Bucks, Marty and Hangman left out the other side. I'm not sure where Owens went during this. I think he just got lost in the shuffle.
Then Cody got on the mic and said he was the face of ROH, Ibushi was nothing more than Kenny's rat and that Bullet Club wasn't just fine, it was Cody's.
I watched RAW. I thought it sucked. The usual problems and such.

Vince and Dunn probably have massive hard-on's over this news: http://www.gerweck.net/2018/02/22/fast-company-names-wwe-as-3rd-most-innovative-company-in-hollywood/

Quote
Fast Company named WWE as the third most innovative company for 2018 in Hollywood, only behind Marvel and Netflix.

The preview for WWE’s entry reads, “For coming off the top rope to make streaming of pro wrestling a global success,” touting the worldwide reach of the WWE Network in every corner of the world including China.

The WWE Network, while successful in its own right, seems like it has been stuck in the 1.4-1.5 million subscribers mark for the past year and the needle only moves for WrestleMania, after which subscriptions go back to the usual average.

Fast Company is the world’s leading progressive business media brand, with a unique editorial focus on innovation in technology, leadership, and design.
