So Dany gets a dragon. People think the Night King will take a dragon. And now people want Cersei to get a dragon. Everybody gets a dragon!

I could see Euron killing a dragon. But don't think anyone buy Dany or The Night King could control one.

Also who thinks this ends with Jamie killing Cersei just as he did the mad king?

Notice where the two are standing in the scene with the map on the floor. Maggy the Frog is somewhere cackling at the foreshadowing.

The inevitable battle at Eastwatch where we see Tormund, Thoros, Beric and The Hound all die is gonna be some suuuuuuper depressing shit.

I feel the Hound will survive. Beric has always been on borrowed time post-Red Wedding, anyway.

Also, we had better get an undead ice dragon.

I can see The Hound going down and Thoros bring him back and we get Undead Hound vs Undead Mountain in CLEGANEBOWL.

Also The Hound needs to survive so he can make it to Winterfell and tell the Starks kids that Littlefinger turned on Ned which in turn will lead to Arya gutting him.

It'd be a gangster move for Arya to kill her as Jamie. But that would mean The Kingslayer would have to die.

The parallels between Cersei and The Mad King are coming through pretty hard so it seems almost too obvious at this point (at least to me) that Jamie is going to be the one to do it.

Really enjoyed this episode. For as short as it was, that ship-jacking felt pretty epic. Also, Mad Man Euron was great. Glad to see the actor finally being allowed to show more range with this character.

A lot of callbacks I would have totally missed if not for the magic of Reddit.

Sam telling Jorah he wouldn't die today - much like Joer told him at the fist of the first men, Arya telling Nymeria "that's not you" mirroring the conversation she had with Ned in the first season, Hot Pie saying he knew they were a knight because of their cool armor, etc.

GoT subreddit catches everything I'd have missed otherwise.

I love seeing so many of the characters getting to interact with each other for the first time: Jon and Littlefinger, Jorah and Sam, Dany and her council, etc. Even Dany and Tyrion just mentioning Jon's name feels epic, and vice versa. Can't wait for their meet-up.

I can't decide if the reason that Euron takes Elaria to Kings Landing is to they can torture her for info on Dany or if Cersei intends to force her to get the Dornish to side with the crown.

So Sam saves Jorah and as a blood debt tells him to take the black and join the Nights Watch, yeah? I figure he gives him Longclaw because lord knows a Valyrian steel sword would be helpful against the army of the dead.

I was hoping for *glass breaks*

It was so cool seeing Euron do some hardcore pirate killing.

After the Viper fell my interst in Dorne did the same. No crying for the Sand Snakes from me.

They're setting up the rest of the season very well.

I don't blame Theon for peacing out there. He still needs redemption. Can't do that if you uncle kills you

Well that reshaped the balance of power Drastically! As much as I love the gigantic holympic shit battles I think GOT is at its best when you get moments like Cersei in the dungeon and Jaime and lady Tyrrell. There was a lot of great character interaction in this episode

It was Tyrion's stupid plan.  Dany should have listened to everybody else and gone straight to King's Landing and leveled it with her dragons.  Between this and the business with Mereen last year, Tyrion's sure fucked up a lot lately.

Why would he give away the family sword he finally sacked up and Claimed? Also he surely wants to examine what makes Valyrian steel unique while at the citadel and having his own sample right there is a pretty huge advantage.

Is Dany really a good guy?  Everything Cersei was saying about Dany's past actions was true.  Would anyone really be heartbroken if she lost?  This is a heel vs heel match.  The good guys are all in the north safe for now worrying about how to fight ice zombies.

It was Tyrion's stupid plan.  Dany should have listened to everybody else and gone straight to King's Landing and leveled it with her dragons.  Between this and the business with Mereen last year, Tyrion's sure fucked up a lot lately.

Surprisingly all of the clever characters on the show became really dumb when the book material ran out.

This 1000%. Somebody between Danys, Jaime or Bronn should have died tonight. I like all of the characters, but in the situations they were in it was a pretty bullshit ending.

I get what your mean, and I kind of agree, but it would have been such a shame if either Jaime or Dany died without proper build. Each has way too much unfinished business.

Reluctantly, I'll agree that Bronn probably could have gone... but hey, Randyll Tarly surely died, right?
