- Prior to the match, Michael Cole gave a disclaimer by stating, "I'm sorry for what you are about to watch." It's believed this was done since WWE knew there might be some negative feedback to the match. Matt Hardy responded to Cole's comment with the following:

Cole being DELETED? We can only hope.

Can we get a storyline where Dana has split personalities and comes out to her theme music and leather attire as a heel but puts on glasses and is a baby face with Titus Worldwide?

Dana's promo appears to have been written for her by WWE 2K18.
Also, the live crowd did not see the Ultimate Deletion match, but instead got:

The live crowd at tonight's WWE RAW did not see the Ultimate Deletion match. Instead, the live crowd saw Elias sing a song and then Braun Strowman defeated Elias in a singles match. After the match, Kane attacked Strowman but Strowman recovered and put Kane through a table.

..which I think was a smart move given the Raw 25 debacle.

..and after that they got this:

Same, Mik. If he called it obnoxious, then Vince told him to. But they also did have Graves defend it just after that too.. who knows with this company.

I'm a bit concerned with Michael Cole burying it beforehand that this is the last we will see of it, but who knows.

* Aw, they dubbed over the sweet “Easy Lover” instrumental intro! Vince McMahon’s stilted narration is gone too.

* Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda vs. Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff for the tag team titles is the best match on the card. You don’t get much more ‘80s than the white-meat babyface tag team champions entering the ring to “Born in the USA” (replaced with some generic nonsense) against the villainous Iranian-Russian connection. Captain Lou Albano and Classy Freddie Blassie are on hand as the managers.

* Andre the Giant vs. Big John Studd in the $15,000 bodyslam challenge is mind-crushingly boring. Andre deserved better.

* Women’s wrestling has evolved a LOT since Wendi Richter blowing the finish en route to regaining the women’s title from Lelani Kai.

* New York Yankees manager Billy Martin is obviously drunk while attempting his job as guest ring announcer.

* Hulk Hogan & Mr. T vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff was as good as it could have been. I’m sure old school fans hated it, but I always thought it was harmless fun to watch. Piper entering the ring after a bagpipe retinue is always awesome. You realize just how much Mr. T is in over his head when you see how much smaller he is than everyone else in the ring. Piper was supposedly one of the WWF’s smaller wrestlers, but he almost looks like he could eat B.A. Baracus for breakfast. T’s involvement is limited because he can’t keep up with the real wrestlers at all. I always wondered why this wasn’t a six-man tag team match pitting Hogan, T, and Superfly Jimmy Snuka against Piper, Orndorff, and Cowboy Bob Orton.

* This was really just a Madison Square Garden house show with more glitz and celebrity involvement. Most of the matches are nothing special outside of the main event. Let’s be honest—the WWF’s in-ring product was far from the best out there, but they were based out of New York and had more connections than the other regional promotions. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than it is to be good.
