Apparently Pittsburgh put an offer out to Bell that had around 30mil guaranteed this first two years with an average of 12mil a year. Bell told his agent to not even think about signing it and that he'll play out this year on his franchise tag.

Worth noting that the Agent had agreed to the deal: 5 Years for $12 Mill per with $30 Mill Guaranteed in first 2 Years as Broward said, but Bell nixed the contract.

Ordered Beggars of Life solely for Louise Brooks. Currently sitting at $18.89 at Amazon ($11 off). Also just pre-ordered the Blu-Ray/DVD Combo of Your Name for $34.98 although it comes out November 7th (OMG the wait :(). Figure that price will eventually drop a bit, possibly under $30.

That's a big risk to take when Vontaze Burfict is still around and happily eager to injure Bell yet again.

White House special counsel Ty Cobb predicts the cloud of an investigation into Russian meddling in the U.S. election will soon be lifted from President Donald Trump and says he would be "embarrassed" if it still hangs over the president in 2018.

Cobb told Reuters this week that he talks to Trump on an almost daily basis and has been in contact with the team of Robert Mueller, the special counsel leading the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Mueller is investigating possible collusion between Trump's campaign team and Russia, as well as possible money laundering by at least one former aide.

But Cobb, who resigned from law firm Hogan Lovells to take the White House job on July 31, said in interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday he believed Mueller's probe was "narrow" and that by the end of the year Trump should no longer be threatened by it.

To be honest I'm a bit hazy on renaming Yawkey Way. You can ascribe many faults to Tom Yawkey. But without Yawkey the Red Sox may well have been the team that left Boston in the '50s.
