Coinciding with Some Early-Round Reaches, BLOOD & PISS & VOMIT Has a Great Team if They Don't Care About Winning

Draft Summary

Hey, BLOOD & PISS & VOMIT, remember that season where you landed the number one pick and then completely tanked the draft anyway? You should, because that was this season, during this draft. With a projected record of 1-12-0 (1,541 points), BLOOD & PISS & VOMIT will finish dead last. They went with a balanced approach early, selecting QB Philip Rivers (20th overall), RB DeMarco Murray (1st), WR Pierre Garcon (21st), and TE Jason Witten (41st) within the first five rounds. They put together the lowest-scoring group of WRs in the league, as they have Garcon, Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans, and Riley Cooper for their rotation.

Brutal draft. Still, you should nominate yourself for the Toyota Hall Of Fame. That way, your players will have to live up to the pressure.

Schedule

BLOOD & PISS & VOMIT should use Week 10 to consider life's deeper mysteries, like what was the greatest thing before sliced bread? No, seriously, think about it. It's better than thinking about fantasy football that week. They have six players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Taking a look at the entire season from start to finish, they have the toughest schedule. Along with having the most demanding overall schedule, BLOOD & PISS & VOMIT also has the second-most difficult last four games of the season.

Draft Notes

    Not Focused on Offense

DEF is the only above-average position on BLOOD & PISS & VOMIT.
Next Year, Just Show Up On Time

The coach of BLOOD & PISS & VOMIT must have arrived late to the draft party. After picking up the fewest projected points in the league over the draft's first half, they accumulated the most during the second half.
    Dallas Cowboys Fan?

BLOOD & PISS & VOMIT reached twice to draft a Dallas Cowboys player.
    Officially Mediocre

While the bottom half of the BLOOD & PISS & VOMIT roster is one of the strongest in the league (projected to be No. 1), the top of the roster is among the weakest (ranked No. 10).
Taking Some Time to get Warmed Up

BLOOD & PISS & VOMIT got off to a lackluster start, winding up with the weakest projected point total in the league during the first half of the draft.
    Better Late Than Never

BLOOD & PISS & VOMIT finished on a high note, accumulating the most projected points in the league over the second half of the draft.

Crown me already drunk drafting = SOUP

I think my team autodrafted pretty well. The C grade means nothing. I got some of the core starters I wanted and thats what matters.

Scored a D Grade but testing out Strength of Schedule with my roster. QBs Flacco and RGIII were 1st & 4th, RBs Rawls/Stewart/Riddick were 2nd, 3rd, & 4th, WRs Dez/DeSean Jackson/Kamar Aiken were 2nd, 7th, and 4th and TE Kyle Rudolph is 4th. I also wanted the Flacco to Aiken TD Combo.

My DTBC was ranked 2nd in possible pairings and Detroit has the #1 Kicker SOS.

Gonna be dominant after Week 5 rolls around and I can roll with Brady as my lead QB and a Flacco/RGIII committee for my QB2.

Real curious how SOS does though for certain players and whether they put up better IRL numbers as a result of good fantasy matchups.

Fun Fact? Peyton had the #1 QB SOS in the preseason the year he went off for 55 TD passes.

I've never seen someone predicted to go without a win in an entire season HQ so that was pretty cool!

Got a B+ and scored as the 3rd best overall and best in my division despite drafting last overall and I'm fairly happy with my team.

Tell me if this works. I still have to play with the defensive settings, and I added a -1 point for extra points and short field goals missed.

I picked players who are prone to getting injured, but if they don't then I'm pretty confident my team will be around come the title game. I don't feel bad about overpaying for talent early on considering the way things turned out.

Half of my team is on break for Week 8.  I fear that was a big mistake, as I'm surely on the bubble.  However, I have three stud running backs to make up for the fact that there are only ten good QBs in the NFL this year.

Jay Cutler went for the most money in the draft.  So maybe this is my season in that sense.

Title: Re: 2017-18 NFL CHAT LEAGUE

Weeks 5 and 9 will kill my team but I went for potential STUD BLOWOUTS at QB (Brady & Brees in the Superflex) and WR (T.Y. Hilton, Demaryius Thomas, and Martavis Bryant with DeSean Jackson, Brandon Marshall, and Ted Ginn on the bench). Also snagged TE Greg Olsen who's basically a 4th WR scoring wise.

My RBs are kinda patchwork though: Adrian Peterson, Mike Gillislee, Rob Kelley, and Eddie Lacy. May just try to play matchups and/or hope for the random 2 TD game out of nowhere.

Title: Re: 2018-19 NFL Chat League

I like my team.
QB: $8 Jimmy G, $2 Marcus Mariota, $3 Trubisky, $1 Jameis Winston
RB: $58 David Johnson, $16 Joe Mixon, $1 Peyton Barber
WR: $55 Deandre Hopkins, $25 Tyreek Hill, $13 Amari Cooper, $10 Jarvis Landry, $1 Kenny Golladay, and $2 Will Fuller
TE: TBA (dropping $2 Peterman for one)
K: $1 Wil Lutz
D: $1 Chicago

Was not thrilled about how much I had to spend on Johnson and Hopkins but I wanted to lock down two top 3 guys at their positions. Feel real good about my QBs and WRs. RBs I feel good at even with limited depth at it. Wanted Christian McCaffrey bad as my RB2 but I got up to $38 on him and knew I had to tap out to Hawk and save cash for my WR3 and WR4. Also had barely any QBs at that point. TE I wasnt going to invest anything in. Snagged Peterman really early for cheap as an emergency depth QB incase something crazy happened and I couldnt get enough QB depth. So he can get cast away for a TE. If our budget was even $250 it would have made this a lot easier. Felt like I was thrift shopping after making just two picks.

I like my team. Felt like I was thrift shopping after making just two picks.

In other words,  HQ ruined the draft by not being there is what I’m reading here! Thanks HQ you managed to make us wish you had been there for the first time since,  uh, ever.

This went well. I schemed to get two defenses and two horrendous QBs. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Woof... even with you guys being nice (which you shouldn't have been tbh) my draft was p. bleh (4 TEs, 2 Kickers, 2 DEF? Yet only 1 QB??? Fuck you, Yahoo!)

I like my WR group and Alfred Morris could be a solid RB1 if he thinks he's back in Washington as a rookie. Gronkowsk is a stud TE when healthy and Gronk + Murder Leg give me a good push at two key positions compared to most opponents. Hate Aaron Jones (don't believe in him as the GB starter) and hate the Burton/Howard grabs too but whatever. Also not a fan of Crowell but I don't like the Jets RB situation much.

Blockbuster Deal
Flik sends QB Drew Brees, QB Derek Carr, and WR Calvin Ridley
HQ sends WR Mike Evans, TE Zach Ertz, and WR Julian Edelman

Gets me 2 legitimate Starting QBs letting Eli be Bye Week filler. Ridley is raw but part of a potentially explosive offense. I've never liked Evans, despite him being a solid Fantasy WR, and Ertz was surplus goods with Gronkowski as my main starting TE.

Evans and Edelman add some good depth to my receiving core and Ertz is definitely now my #1 option at TE over Hooper.

I hadn't noticed yours, CWM but I, the last place team, lost to the first place team by a very similar margin.

Held back by the man.
