What’s next for Kurt Angle?

Is Kurt going to come out, try to retire again, and get interrupted? This is going to lead to Corbin/Angle at Mania where winner gets to retire.

Imagine thinking you're getting your own spinoff show from Total Divas based off of everything WWE has told you for the past year and then come meeting time they decide you're the main reason for ratings being down and fire you from it.

ACH's signing has been coming for awhile now but Sam Shaw's signing feels like it came 3 years too late.

Kevin Owens one month "or so" from being back and he's actually coming across as super likable, don't know how to handle that one.

Does Strowman have a nerve/arm injury or is some sort of forced perspective making his arms look dramatically different in size?

They aren't supposed to be.  They have half the field from RAW and half the field from Smackdown in the match so I think they are floating between the two main shows.  There were rumors very early on that they were supposed to defended on NXT and NXT UK too but I wouldn't be surprised if they changed their minds on that.

No Mania build for me. New Japan Cup is in March I'll watch that instead. What a terrible company. I don't need to be seeing this kind of angle repeated five years after they did it with Bryan. It was terrible then and somehow even worse now.

Becky v Charlotte next month at Fastlane where Becky has to win to get back in main.  Expect a McMahon ref in that one

So with that ending, I'm worried they're gonna try and do a female version of the dumb "A McMahon in every corner" buildup they did with WM 2000.   Becky vs Ronda is a Wrestlemania main event on it's own.  It FEELS Wrestlemania main event worthy.  It doesn't feel like some of the other pandering "Well, it's the women so let's make it the main event so Stephanie looks good," like they've done in the past.   Ronda vs Becky flat out feels like it belongs in the Wrestlemania main event.   Even adding Charlotte to the match, that's fine because it gives the match the pure heel it needs.

What it DOESN'T need is McMahon bullshit attached to it.  That just makes it all feel sad and desperate.  Trust your wrestlers to get it over, it's been working well for months in this feud.   If you want to throw McMahon garbage onto something, do it with something that needs it.   Don't try to leech heat off the hottest bit in the company.

They really hammered home the Flair birthday party so that should have been a sign I guess.  Becky beats up Ric that night.  Probably Ronda as well

Yeah main event will be 3 way

In their minds almost every single one of the biggest stars they've built in the past 20 years have had McMahons (or HHH) involved somehow in their build up: Austin had Vince, Rock had The Corporation, Orton was in Evolution, Bryan had to go through the Authority, Reigns (and the Shield) dealt with HHH, Evolution, and the Authority... The only one that wasn't chock full of McMahons from the get-go was Cena, and I'm convinced that's just because he was on SD at the beginning instead of Raw.

It's like they just don't know what to do when someone gets over on their own. I don't mind that Charlotte is added to the match, and having it happen this way fits in with everything Becky has been saying about her for the last six months, she just gets handed opportunities for no reason while Becky gets shut down or has to scratch and claw to make it anywhere. If WM doesn't end with Becky as champ, it will be a massive fuckup. Much like with Bryan at XXX, anything less than victory is a waste. Becky is Austin, Charlotte is Corporate Rock. This is WM 15. Ronda being in the match is perfectly acceptable because she plays her part well enough that I don't think the match is going to be any worse because she's in it. And even if they NEVER do a full Horsewomen feud with all 8 women, they damn sure AT least want to put Ronda and Shayna against the WWE 4 at some point in the future and this can just be another in a long line of stepping stones that gets to that eventuality.

The build has, since Survivor Series, felt so much like it's going to be a triple threat that I now refuse to believe it will be anything other than Becky vs Ronda one-on-one. Vince being (supposedly) in favor of that option doesn't hurt either.

Charlotte being added to the match plays on her getting everything handed to her which caused !~The Man~! To initially turn.

Still the wrong decision. Fans will shit on Charlotte.

Isn't fans shitting on Charlotte kind of the point? They don't want Ronda getting booed as bad as she did a few weeks ago so it seems that Charlotte is now the corporate pick to suck up all the boos.

If you really want to make Becky, have her beat Rousey, whether Charlotte is in the match or not. No more half-measures, Walter.

Maybe Charlotte's in the match to do the job.

Oh Charlotte should absolutely be doing the job. In fact, she needs to lose to Asuka too so during the summer they can have this weird role reversal where Becky's super cocky toward everybody and Charlotte doesn't think she has what it takes anymore and wants to redeem herself. And since Becky would be on Raw and Charlotte would be back on SD, they wouldn't have to feed Becky to her during the storyline.

The Charlotte factor here just muddles the fuck out of the legit anticipation heat that Rousey/Becky had. It's also clearly done to manipulate the audience into taking the boos off Rousey. Clearly Rousey isnt ready nor wanting to go heel yet. Or the company isnt, which just means they are missing the boat on the Horsewomen feud being the underbelly of all of this instead of this stuff, but instead its taken a turn that has already done some damage.

WWE hasnt had a hot program like that in eons, but what do they do? What they always seem too. Overbook it with McMahon influence. Steph will likely be ref, and we get Vince/Charlotte factor, which again just takes away the legit hotness that was Rousey/Becky. Instead now they will be kinda teaming up against Charlotte. No fuckin thanks.

Plus how many triple threats do we need on ppvs that involve both Becky and Charlotte. Even in the last damn year....

Anyway you slice it too, Becky's cred took some serious hits last night with how they booked her. I didnt care one bit for the quirky silly backstage segments. And then to top it off, she doesn't go full Austin at the end? Instead she apologizes and takes the ego blow by being emasculated by the now returning Authority bullshit? That's how you devalue a hot act, bigtime.

Man, you know how awesome it would have been to see Ali pin Bryan, Jeff, and Joe in the span of 45 minutes or so? It sucks that he's hurt, but him and Jeff were probably going to be the ones doing all the really crazy shit in the Chamber so it's best he stays out.

I almost feel like Kofi somehow pinning AJ and then Orton getting the cheap pin would have been more effective. But this works as Orton has to work less than everyone else in the Chamber

I would have bet money Kofi would somehow beat AJ, then get RKO’d.

Kofi as champ would be pretty amazing. It's way overdue and the bright neon commercialism of the New Day vs. the Planet's champion would be extremely entertaining.

Kofi yelling at AJ that he's been waiting 11 years for this and basically to bring it was pretty amazing. If you have to imagine the heat on Orton would have been way more if Kofi would have somehow got past AJ and immediately ate the RKO.

I also loved the way Big E and Woods ran down right away to help Kofi, that's real friendship. I wasn't big on Kofi getting the spot (909 predicted it before it even happened too) but after the match I'm fine with it.

I think Bryan as a heel champion on its current run has legs, but I agree Kofi v. Bryan at Wrestlemania would be great. And I think a Kofi title run could open up a lot of possibilities.

Found this piece from WON posted online

Quote
From WrestleMania to the end of the year in 2016, subscribers fell 51,000. In 2017 that decline was 190,000. In 2018, that decline was 280,000. That explains why this year WWE will not announce the subscriber number after WrestleMania, so such a decline won’t be able to be tracked.

Big drops but I’d assume the subscriber number goes up over time too

Is he the one that had been arrested multiple times for DUI in the past or is that Jey? If so, I can't see this favoring them at all but then again, they did ignore the last Uso arrest (and the Jeff Hardy one) so who knows.
