People who had the best match of there career in TNA

Watching Impact I saw Ken Anderson talk fairly strongly about "loving the company" and there is no doubt that his Lockdown match with Angle was far and away (like...literaly two stars better than) the best match of his career.

So...for a rare positive thread...who else?

Daniels and Styles I think both had their best match at Unbreakable 05 with Joe (who's match with Kobashi I liked more)

James Storm surely did...pick your poison.  I'll take the street fight with Chris Harris...but that match 5 with the Guns is certainly awesome.

Since no one has seen another Bobby Roode match it has to be that match 5 Guns match for him.

I'm sure Matt Morgan never had a better match than he did with Angle at BFG a couple years ago.

Who else?

Oh...if it wasn't for that tremendous match with HBK at In Your House 2...Jarrett's best match would have been his second match with Angle.  That match ruled.  But it doesn't count.

Did Elix Skipper ever have a better match than the turning point cage match?

I think Chris Harris's would be that James Storm street fight too.

Yes BPtoomanySS's Ric Flair and Mick Foley also.

Way to miss the point.

Two posts.

If we're talking straight singles matches, excluding TLCs and stuff where he was one of a group, probably Christian. He had some awesome 2009 matches, but he must have had a better one in TNA.

Also, Gail Kim.

Stop trolling, BPSS.

A lot of people raved about R-Truth's match with Jarrett where Jarrett won the belt. I haven't seen it, but it's not like he's done anything better in WWE

Can we talk about guys who have only been with TNA and the indys, or guys who have went to or came from WWE/WCW/ECW?

Either way, Truth without a doubt.

Sting has done some of the best work of his career since Vader left WCW. I mean he had a few gems in late wcw with DDP, Benoit, Regal, and Storm...but that is not what you are asking I suppose.

I think Rhino's produced some of his best stuff since being in TNA. I only remember him for one match in WWE against Raven.

I know I'm going to get hung for it, but I've enjoyed Kurt Angle's TNA work far more than his WWE work.

I'll get hung for this, and though I can't pinpoint an exact match, Kennedy/Anderson's ringwork has improved by leaps and bounds, IMO.

Ok, fine. I'll stop being sarcastic. Probably Skipper and Daniels.

Did Alex Shelley do anything in ROH or elsewhere that's better than the Guns/Beer Money series?

No. Maybe he did something funny in PWG or Japan, but wrestling-wise that's the best series since the never-ending EC/Dudleyz/Hardyz feud of 2000-01.

Gail Kim, obviously. Tons of the people who've faced Angle: Morgan, Kennedy, Jarrett, Sting, Styles...etc.

I don't know if Angle's done the best matches of his career in TNA, but he's grown his reputation for being an amazing wrestler just by being able to carry a lot of guys, so I suppose you could say him too.

Oh, yeah: I attribute a lot of that to Kurt.

He also said himself lot of the problems in WWE with guys was due to his stiffness and unco-operative opponents who disliked his style, whereas in TNA guys are less fussy and willing to along with just about anything. Not saying one way's better than the other, but the relaxed atmosphere has helped out Ken a ton.

I don'think Sting had the best match of his career in TNA, atticus. Tomko did, though.

Man, I miss Tomko being awesome. Between TNA and Japan, there was a six month period where he was probably the legit best big man in wrestling.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to look at Abyss from 2003-2005 and compare him to the 2010 version.

Kid Kash (a few ***-***/12 affairs with Red and various others in '03)

Chris Sabin (Ultimate X2, not to mention the MCMG/Beer Money series)

AJ Styles (nevermind Unbreakable, his singles matches vs. Samoa Joe before and after were enough)

Rhino (vs. Christian, BFG '06)

Christian (vs. Rhino, BFG '06)

James Storm (MCMG/Beer Money series, not mention the AMW/XXX feud and the streetfight vs. Harris)

Chris Harris (AMW/XXX feud and the streetfight vs. Storm)

Jerry Lynn's work in '02/'03 TNA is, IMO, better overall than his work in ECW. I haven't seen enough of his last ROH run to judge it (read: I haven't seen it).

Amazing Red (XXX/SAT 6-man to close out '02, not to mention the feud with Kid Kash and the matches w/ Lynn as his partner)

Brian Lee (KILL. DOZER. BRIAN. FUCKING. LEE. New Church/AMW feud had a lot of really, really good brawls, easily the best matches of his entire career)

Don Harris (the Malice feud produced a pair of solid brawls)

Vampiro (his best match was that Gallows Pole, or whatever, match vs. Raven shortly after the Douglas/Raven feud that saw Raven's head shaved)

As the ROH-bot of the forum, I'll dispute this with the Roderick Strong title defense at A Cut Above and his title win against Nigel at Supercard of Honor IV. And if you want to add to that, he had a pair of matches against Danielson that were exemplary, especially All Star Extravaganza IV.

^This. I used to really like the guy, and thought he could be one of the best things in the company. Then the years went by...

Also, seconding Lynn's work in '02 and '03 being his best, though I've always been a fan of his.

Abyss went to crap as soon as they made him talk. Shut up and let The Sinister Minister yell about doomsday, dummy.

Sign me up for Tomko. I still want to know who taught the slug how to wrestle (apparently while he was in Japan). I remember him and Joe tearing the fucking house down on Impact at some point in late 06.

Vance Archer had the best match of his career against Abyss on a ppv.  Out of nowhere that one was too.

I think Abyss's best match was a ppv against Angle (they've had 3 and I want to say it was the middle one) where Kurt worked the more Abyss style hard hitting match and they fucking owned it.

I didn't even think about Kid Kash...but his X division street fight with AJ Styles has to be it.

Christian is an interesting one because he was a part of better matches (TLCs the TIT finals) but as a singles wrestler...outside of that fucking great match with Swagger his best singles matches were with Joe and Angle in TNA.  But they weren't as good as some of the E&C stuff.
