The Haunting of Hill House (Netflix, 2018)

I've been seriously losing interest in binge watching any shows lately, but Hill House turned that around. Huge fan of the original story and the 1963 movie, and this new envisioning of the story has not disappointed so far. On the last episode now.
You should probably put your bandit hat on now.

The original is my all-time favorite horror movie, and I love the book. I watched the first 4 episodes last Friday (I had to leave before I could continue). It takes some getting used to, and it's jarring how they changed the story and character relationships.

I do love that one of the siblings is named Shirley Harris in honor of Shirley Jackson and Julie Harris.

I'm a big fan of Flannigan, Oculus is at the top of my list of horror movies for the 2000s.

Happy to hear that they aren't returning to the same characters as their stories were tied up. And great for Flanagan and his deal at Netflix.

Only skimming responses right now. Finally started it a little bit ago and have two left. Love the hell out of it.
