They should retire "California Love" as walk-in music after tonight.

Good retirement fight for Faber, has all the elements of what made his career so great.

Michelle Waterson will be a legit threat for the title when that time comes.

Fun fights. But the highlight for me was Cruz verbally murdering Cody in the interview segment.

Yeah I always felt Cody had the blue print of how to talk himself up, but never the improv skills against someone who can deliver too.

Cody has a nice skillset, but maaan does he ever come off as someone getting a title shot way too soon.  Cruz may not ever come close to finishing him, but I can see it being one of those 50-45 kind of score cards where Cruz just plays his usual games and Cody just looks lost.

Paige may have a future in the sport, but her skillset is definitely not good enough for opponents she can't simply "out-tough" in the octagon.  She has been in a lot of bad positions in other fights too, but against opponents who had less polish in their technique than Waterson.  Waterson was very fun to watch even in such a short fight. As long as she can stay healthy she will be a title contender.

If I'm Sean Shelby I'm being very cautious about how to market Gall. He has eyes on him that very few guys with his experience level do and he's marketed himself well but he was getting buzzed on the feet and didn't look too great there. He's not even close to being ready for a top fifteen guy but at the same time they can't keep feeding him cans. People can shit on Sage all they want but he's not an unskilled fighter and it's a good scalp for Gall, people forget that this is the first time Mickey has fought a guy with more then one UFC fight under his belt.

I think the Dan Hardy fight as a tune up for both at 155 (you can do 160 catchweight if they want) is a good call.

I said Gall was a great prospect from the jump, but I think he's too green in the MMA game to beat Hardy. He is a better grappler and can probably take him down at points, so he could still win. But he'd probably get ktfo.

The way Dan Hardy has become representative of undeserving UFC title shots, he's become seriously underrated. But with his heart issue I don't know if he will even be cleared to come back.

Dan Hardy represents a stylistic challenge to Gall, but a challenge he can beat. A good striker with probably decent BJJ by now, but hasn't fought in 4 years and is a decent name? He needs a step up but not too big of a step up.

I can't see Hardy ever being cleared to come back. I get that he's still training to keep in shape but in terms of the advances in technology, medicine-wise I figure if there was some kind of procedure out there to cure his heart issue it would've been uncovered by now.

Yeah, the Dan Hardy call out was strange because he hasn't fought in 4 years in there's no hint of him being cleared

I don't know who to put Gall with next.  He needs a Dan Hardy type guy.......a name who's over the hill but a win still means something......can he fight Ken Shamrock?

There's a new season of Where Are They Now? on Fight Pass so I imagine it was filmed fairly recently and Dan mentions the condition keeping him from fighting but doesn't give any indication that it's going to be dealt with.

Mike Perry getting 14k with all the attention he brought to the show and PVZ getting 43k. These people need to go on strike.

Dan Hardy showed up on Ariel's show today when Mickey was on the phone and said he doesn't want to fight him because he doesn't have enough experience. A nice way of saying "thanks, but no thanks."

Where's your evidence that Perry brought attention to the show? Show me and I'll believe it but outside of the hardcore fans nobody was talking about that fight.

I was thinking of Emil Meek for Gall but the physicality might be too much for him at this point.

I don't have any specific evidence other than that they put his fight on the main card. Paying any main card fighter 14k is obscene. Michelle Waterson for 30k is really bad too.

I'm a hybrid casual MMA fan in the sense that I've been following it for 20+ years and I dig it and all that.....but I'm not super hardcore about it.  So I'm more than casual, but less than hardcore if that makes sense.

That said, I had never seen or heard of Mike Perry before the card on Saturday...maybe that outs me as a lazy fan but whatever....so lol at the idea that he meant anything to that show.  To me it was all Faber's last fight, Paige, Sage and Gall
