The need to loosen their rules for getting title shots.  I like that they do tournaments and its perfect for young prospects looking for exposure and ring time.  But it hurts your promotion when its the only way you get your title challengers.

I think they should add an official Bellator rankings system to go along with their tournaments.  They could form their own rankings commitee and come up with a top 10 challengers for every weight class.  It will allow champions to fight tournament winners and whoever the highest ranked fighter is.  If the #1 and #2 fighters are in a tournament then the champion defends his title against the #3 ranked fighter.  You could also increase the prize money for winning a tournament. That way its still an incentive for top ranked fighters to enter a tournament.

It allows Bellator to finally eliminate those ridiculous "super fights" and keeps their champions busy with meaningful fights.

Sad I didn't get tickets to tonight's show because the main event was good and ended with Eddie Alvarez going all Kawada on Patricky Pitbull for the finish.

When does Eddie Alvarez not get hurt and recover in a fight? I'm worried that by the time he gets to the UFC he'll already be over the hill.

So, unless an upset of some kind occurs is it safe to say we're looking at StrikeForce reunion fight in the LHW finals with King Mo vs Babalu?

And it looks like Bellator isn't letting Alvarez go without a fight.

King Mo would destroy Babalu, would be fun to watch him use him as a stepping stone to the UFC's middleweight division.

That fight was great, even the crowd liked it. The sky's the limit for both those guys. They have lots of potential but a few glaring flaws that they need to address if they want to be the number one guy. Considering that they're still really young while also being seasoned I'm really excited to see where their careers go from here.

I guess it wouldn't be well received in fucking Wisconsin though.

I can't believe I let this board convince me that Babalu wasn't washed up. If all the other competitors in this tourney that I've never heard of fight like the Russian and the guy who beat Seth Petruzelli, then this is King Mo's tournament to lose.

I don't care what Alvarez does, I wanna see Michael Chandler in the UFC.

Fun show on tap tonight, first-rate squash matches lined up for King Mo, Doug Lima and Killa B.

Any and all fun will naturally be sucked into the black hole of bore that is Ben Askren decisioning Karl Ammasou in the main.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic, but I like watching him fight. Calling him Anderson Silva is a little much since Anderson finishes people and finishes the best of the best.

I hope this dude from Togo isn't as much of a can as you guys say. He trains with Horn and went through hell, I'ma cheer for 'em.

Don't let the persona fool you, the guy's a smart fighter and is a winner. His wrestling credentials and performance in the Mousasi fight prove that. If he went to the UFC, he'd probably drop the weight after Dana told him to. He's said in the past that he could do it.

They should really start these earlier. Finishing at 12 AM EST on a weeknight (even if it's a Thursday) doesn't seem like smart programming strategy for a fledgling MMA promotion.

Commentator agrees that the fight should stop. His eye is bad, but if I were the doctor I would think more about the fact that he's just getting his head pounded in without offering much defense.

That was a solid show. I'm really starting to enjoy Bellator becoming a part of my Thursdays. Really nice emotional moment and exposure for Will Brooks, good wins for Tiger and Awad and hopefully a performance by David Rickels that gets people talking.

Because he did the fucking Giant Swing on Lloyd Woodard and proceeded to bop him in the face afterwards.

Tonight's main card....

Aleksander Shlemenko vs Macquiel Falcao (Vacant MW Championship)
Marlon Sandro vs Aop Stepanyan
Mike Richman vs Mitch Jackson
Fabricio Guerreiro vs Megomadrasul Khabulaev

Not as good as they've been in the past I want the streak of fun events to continue. I really hope the main event doesn't suck, if it does it'll be because of Falcao. For the "Scary Chuteboxe Monster" vibe he's given by some dude is fucking boring.
