I'm not sure about what his ceiling is like as a fighter but I'm gonna keep watching Mike Richman so long as he keeps laying dudes out the way he's been doing it.

Great fight though, early FOTY candidate.

I think if the X-Games and energy drink companies manufactured a fighter it'd be Doug Marshall.

The King Mo KO is one of the funniest ever. He gets knocked out with the slowest knife edged chop to the face and then takes 15 seconds to fall down and DVDMB's MMA overlord sprewell rimz probably is on the verge of depression because of it. Amazing.

In terms of dudes getting brained this was one of the most enjoyable cards in recent memory. UFC Fight for The Troops 1 level stuff.

I still think UFC 54 takes the cake simply because Telligman and Terry Martin both ended up having to be stretchered out of the octagon but cot-damn Bellator was trying hard to eclipse that.

The Will Brooks hype train was derailed, but kind of saw it coming.

Awad vs. Rickels is the better fight anyway, but I think Chandler puts a beating on either of them after putting a beating on Held or Jansen.

I admittedly don't know anything about Vegh, but he doesn't look that good from the highlights/warmups. I don't know how he's 28-4.

He's a sizable favourite to win this too, interesting.

He's a L&P specialist. I don't know if that's what he's doing right now but that's why I'm not watching it.

I'm not sure why, but I would assume due to the guys in the tournaments having to fight multiple times in a short amount of time and wouldn't be able to due to serious cuts.

Frodo is a badass. Ridiculous workrate, just non stop the whole time and tangling with a Nova Uniao black belt with no sense of fear or hesitation. I think he'll tool Richman something fierce.

Cooper vs Marshall is going to be such a dogshit fight but I hope Marshall wins just so I can see Shlemenko paste him.

Whoah, back up a second here. Since when has "trying to fight" been a scoring criteria? Lay and pray or not, Marshall got grounded and wasn't able to implement his gameplan. There is no possible way you can justify a decision for him.

Maia clings to Fitch's back for three rounds and does nothing, people are ok with it. Aliev lays on top of Marshall who is constantly bitching to the ref for a restart and people rejoice when he gets screwed over.

Maia improved position and attempted to finish the fight, leaving Fitch with no offense whatsoever.

Aliev held onto Marshall, who was the agressor in the fight from his back and on the feet.

I don't ever recall a moment in Maia/Fitch where I thought Fitch was in trouble. Credit to his grappling defense but it's nowhere near when he was against, say, Diego or Carneiro. If he'd come out after the Maia fight and complained that he was "trying to fight" he would have been lambasted for those comments.

This has been a highly amusing episode of Bellator for all the wrong reasons.

Spiritwolf milking a lowblow against 2013 Marcus Davis in Davis' homestate to get a no contest to Michael Page gets a 1 punch KO in 10 seconds and becomes the 155 pound Paul Daley has been great.

lol 11-12-1 David Vitkay ran through his opponent like a hot knife through butter, choked him out, then got up and danced to Gangnam Style.

This is why I love Bellator.

It's been mentioned on bloody elbow that it could be the case. The punch looked grazing and the ref was in there to stop it the moment it happened.

Or the guy was just a total pussy.

Don't get me wrong, there are some fights where upon replay you go "Oh, wait it looks like it connected/broke something" but the replay showed that punch glanced his face at best.

Why would they work a fight? That's what I always ask when people say that. Why work a fight for a guy like Page? He's not a champion or anything, barely a pro.
