With the year that UFC has had I'm totally expecting at least one, maybe two of the title fights to somehow fall apart this week.

Can't wait for best shape of his life DC to hammer post-USADA Jones. It's coming. This is the only time DC hasn't gotten super fat between fights at this weight.

Only way JJ loses is if USADA has that much of an effect. Stylistically he's a nightmare for DC.

Ten fights are worth watching with a great main event. If this doesn't pop at least 500K, sound the alarm.

I'm still mourning the absence of Koreans Superboy and Zombie on this card but it's still the shit and yeah if this one tanks UFC should be very, very worried.

So what kind of dirt does Josh Burkman have on Dana to keep getting fights? It's not like he's this bonus machine who they can justify keeping around because he always delivers win or lose.

looks like they're already building around the real draw

http://forums.sherdog.com/threads/jimi-manuwa-vs-david-haye-in-the-works-for-january-next-year.3580483/

Regarding this, that can't possibly be true anyway because Haye is probably going to fight Tony Bellew again for huge money. Or Hughie Fury for a heavyweight belt.

Dana just said GSP is fighting the winner of Woodley/Maia for the Welterweight title next.

But he also said he hasn't spoken to GSP's people yet.

Luke Thomas asks question.

Jones: "Luke, I don't really like you so I'm not going to answer that question."

I've been thinking what's the most "Oh, mma" thing that could happen to the main event and I think this is it: Jones misses weight, fight goes on as a non-title but he still beats DC. People still call DC a paper champ. Dana flips out, Jones gets shipped up to HW where he gets a big money fight with Lesnar anyways. Cormier has a stroke and dies.

The more I think about it, the more confident I am in Jones. Cormier's main path to victory is to clinch up with him, wear him out and take him down. Jon Jones is great in the clinch and is hard to take down. Hard to wear him out if you can't do those things, you have to get into a war from the outside. Jones is a better striker at distance which is where Daniel has trouble with guys he has a hard time taking down, like Jones in the first fight or Gus. Just a bad style matchup for DC.

Imo Jones is a more diverse and more skilled fighter so even though DC is obviously a more upstanding citizen, I cheer for the evolved version of MMA over Fatty Couture.

I don't really care about the outcome of that fight though. The only one I'm actually vested in is Maia/Woodley, and I'm already preparing for the worst.

I fear for the worst both as a fan of Maia who's rooting for him and somebody who's anticipating a staring contest that goes the full 25 with the fans in attendance shitting all over the fight.

The last time DC had to strip down and looked like this he tapped Rumble even quicker then the previous fight. I'm not gonna talk any shit about how Jones is going to merk him.

But Jones is so, so going to merk him.

There's also a thread there that points out how both guys have lost to 3 guys via the same method: Marquardt by KO, Rory by UD and Shields by SD.

When Jones is rusty as shit and has nothing left to give during the third or fourth round, these predictions will be great to look back at.

I hate to go against T-City, but I think I'm going to bet on Moicano and Lawler. Jones odds are too wide. Lamas at even money against Knight, wow the respect for Knight here HMMMM

I've been a Knight fan from the start but jeez man this is a little soon to be getting that kind of respect from bookmakers. He hasn't beaten a guy close to Lamas's level.

Yeah. Lamas has incredible top control and I think he's probably learned his lesson from the Holloway fight in terms of brawling with a guy who is better at it then him.

Looking at the pictures for the first time, while DC did look drawn he also looked like he's never been better conditioned. I think the California rules helped to force him to make an easier weight cut. He's going to put on a lot of weight today, I don't know what that will amount to but its been claimed he puts on 30 pounds.

The first fight was also pretty close. Plus, Big John is the referee and is going to be extremely stern regarding Jones sticking his hands out. I remember that Jones did not want Big John officiating his fights because of it. I'm hyped.

Yeah weird as it is to say Big John could be the x factor here. He's not scared to take points and is wise to the type of game Jones tries to run.
