In the least surprising news of the week, Ray Borg is out of his fight this Saturday against Joseph Benavidez.  I haven't seen a specific reason for the cancellation yet but I believe physicians nixed his participation.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuucksakes. That was one of the best fights on the card.

Wouldn't surprise me if this was weight-cut related and speaking of which FloCombat is citing a source saying that the UFC is killing men's flyweight by the end of 2018 and cutting a bunch of fighters, only a select group will get to move up in weight.

Well, the bantamweight division would get an influx of guys that we shouldn't have to worry about making weight, so the purging of that division isn't entirely a bad thing.

I would figure if this is true it means we see Cejduo moving up to fight Dillashaw.

I imagine they gave DJ a heads up about this. Damn shame the division is going away now that it’s finally opened up.

Also tells me that DJ would rather leave the company and stay at Fly than move up a weight class.

Because he'd struggle at BW? Cause I think he beats 90% of that weight class handily.

I think the implication from the post is also saying he’s totally fine going elsewhere. I think. ONE FC takes care of their fighters pretty well. I’m sure he also misses sponsorship money.

OneFC is doing some esports stuff, DJ is big into that and will probably get a lot of money from his position within that branch of OneFC:

Anthony Pettis vs Justin Gaethje sometime in early 2019.

Fighter who reacts horribly to pressure and being backed up vs the most forward moving, pressure-heavy fighter in the division.

Idk about that, Anthony has had some good counterstrikes in his time.

Needs to be five rounds though.

Essentially it’s Anderson Silva 2006 vs Anderson Silva 2018. There’s no need for this.

Watched some of the available vids with Kizers fights. Taps to strikes. I actually feel bad for CM Punk  now. The level of cans thrown at every other pro wrestler debut is unbelievable. This one may take the cake.

Greg Hardy makes his UFC debut on the ESPN card. You know, the same card that recent domestic violence victim Rachel Ostovich will be fighting on.

Cowboy vs Alex Hernandez on the ESPN card in Brooklyn. Great fight and a good test for both guys. Hernandez can show he's ready to step up to the next level and Cerrone can vanquish a hot prospect and prove he's not dead yet.

What are your guys thoughts on Jones-Gus II; especially from a gambling perspective? It's jumped from +275 to +300 for Jon Jones this weekend. I think JJ wrecks him and this fight does not get to Round 3. Maybe that is the bet to make. Jones-Gus I was probably one of my five favorite fights ever based on watching it live because I thought no one could derail Jones. Just seems like there is no way Gus can touch him this time.

Usman apparently signed a bout agreement to fight Woodley. I'd feel bad for pretty much anyone else in that situation but Colby is a racist asshole so this is fucking hilarious.

Main event for UFC 235 in March is Jon Jones vs Anthony Smith assuming Jones can get cleared by the NSAC, co-main event for the card is Tyron Woodley vs Kamaru Usman.

Colby getting straight fucked over and nooooooooobody cares.

I don’t mind Smith getting a title shot. I’m sure he’ll get shredded. But Jones beats everyone, so why not a wildcard. 205 is a pretty dead division. All the names feel old now.
