Though the main card is nothing to sneeze at, the undercard is damn good, with just about every fight being noteworthy.

Just a shame we'll have to wait until whenever the next batch of WrekCage episodes are to see most of it.

Domenick Cruz was an outstanding guest on Inside MMA yesterday. Very well spoken dude and came across as VERY likeable.

So did Brett Rogers for that matter.

Too bad they had to endure Rice's constant idiocy. The contrast between intelligent insight and Rice's complete know-nothingness is aneurysm inducing.

Hmm... that might have been a bit of a premature stoppage.

Good composure by Henderson, though. I thought he was done after the knockdown/guillotine from Roller. That was sunk in pretty tight.

Alot of these Team Takedown guys aren't exactly living up to the hype.

Rosholt has been the only one that's looked particularly worrisome as far as development goes. Even other great collegiate wrestlers like Koscheck have had their hiccups in the cage.

Also, Benevidez wins based on the strength of "Stranglehold" alone.

Curran has some of the gayest tattoos ever. The jiu-jitsu one on his chest is only rivaled by the "frog riding on a chinese symbol" on his back.

Before we get the decision I've got it 30-27  Benavidez. Joe clearly won the 2nd round, but I think you can make a case either way for Curran in the first and third. Despite Mir's frog boner, I think Benavidez pushed the pace and landed the bigger shots in the first and third round.

Touch gloves and go back to your gloves... uh...corners.

Mizugaki should feel pretty good about that first round.

Sounds like the main event was a war.

Yeah, it was. But it didn't have to be. Torres is fucking stubborn. If he wanted to, or if he gameplanned smart like GSP, then he probably could have ended the fight in two rounds or less on the ground. Instead he needs to show how tough he is (very tough obviously) and stand and trade for 5 rounds.

I'm reading some comments/articles on the fight and some people are saying that a pretty big weakness in Miguel's game got exposed here.

Probably his wrestling, but this is hardly any revelation, as I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it here on more than one occasion. But anyway, there were a few times where Torres definitely wanted this fight on the mat, but had no way of getting it there.

Good title fight.  Thank goodness for having TSN2 so I could watch it live while trying to debug a client issue.
