Too bad it’ll be years before he sees any of it, and he’ll end up getting nowhere near that amount after lawyers and appeals.
Matt, don't be a fag. Post some huge cocks.

Also part of the reason why the payout is so large is because the trial took place in NJ and they have some state law that triples settlements. Won't be the norm for future cases.

Fitting, since he's fought his last two fights like he was already retired.

Also let's file Jimi Manuwa under "Dudes who should retire" that knockout was fucking scary. Props to Rakic too though, that combo was beautiful.

Also lost in the news of Gus hanging them up King Mo retired. Was pretty spotty late in his career but for a guy who started in MMA late he did well for himself and retires with some good to very-good wins under his belt.

Revised my fight posts for the website.  Biggest upcoming fights in MMA, kickboxing, and boxing.  Ongoing UFC fight of the year ranking.

Good FOTY list, liked that you gave a shout-out to Claudio Silva vs Danny Roberts, that fight was madness and was legit better then Masvidal/Till. I would've honestly ranked Ladd/Eubanks higher if only because it's rare that you see two women fight who have that level of sustained aggression throughout 15 minutes.

Also don't wanna be right about this but pretty sure that Ortega/Zabit isn't happening at UFC 240 anymore. T-City isn't going to be ready in time.

I saw that right after I posted the article.  I need to go back and change a few other things, too.  I shuffle the rankings throughout the year and then frantically try to rewatch everything at the end to finalize the rankings.  I overlooked some stuff and overrated some stuff in my never finished rankings from last year so I've made some notes to more accurately rank fights instead of just sticking them on the list when I finish the card.  238 will be tough because (a) I was drinking and in a bar environment which sometimes makes me overrate fights and (b) I miss portions of some fights that may not make me rank them fairly, although I saw basically the entirety of the better fights.

How the hell does this happen? I was shocked when. I heard the result. He’s a sloppy 50/50 MMA fighter. A world champion boxer should have knocked him into oblivion. Especially without the big gloves. Dude talked mad shit leading up to this and I thought it would be a cake walk.

Happy to see Korean Zombie get a big win after the way the Yair fight went down. Moicano's stance was wide open to get clipped on the inside like that and Jung made him pay for it.

“I should have known this was going to be the first question,” White laughed when he was asked in the opening few seconds of the Q&A. “Listen, if I can make that fight, I’d be all over that fight. It’d be the biggest pay-per-view in the history of pay-per-view.”

When moderator Jason Gay asked White if it was true he was seriously contacted about putting the bout together, White confessed.

“It is true,” White said. “As crazy as that sounds, that is true. … I don’t want to use any names, but I was at home on a Sunday, and I got a call with two big guys on the phone. They were telling me this could possibly happen and this could be real. I’m like, there’s no way that this is really going to happen. But if it does, call me back. I’m in.”

“Oh my god, it would be massive,” White said. “It would be massive. Everybody laughed when we talked about this, so you’ve heard of it. Who wouldn’t watch that? Everybody would watch it. It’s a complete train wreck, and I love it, and I’m in. I’m in. …

“I can’t even believe this is what we’re talking about right now.”

No Dos Santos vs. Ngannou thread and/or discussion?

I enjoy Maia as his never ending hunt for submissions is always impressive to watch.  His opponent Martin looked like Jay Moore with Shamrock's side burns.

Pretty much

Once junior got spun around it was obvious he would only last a few more seconds. Francis has now in straight fights finished Blaydes, Cain, and Junior. All of them early.

Overall pretty good fights. Benavidez looked great.

Red didn’t do Anders opponent any favors. He took two really hard shots he shouldn’t have.

Maia do what Maia do. Can’t believe one judge gave Martin a 10-8. Granted, Maia didn’t engage at all. But homeboy also didn’t get anything done on his end.

Waxing Blaydes, Cain and JDS in under five minutes combined absolutely earns Ngannou another title shot but it's honestly really tough to gauge just how much he's improved from the last one around because all of these fights ended so quickly. If nothing else it makes Stipe's performance against him look even better in hindsight.

UFC released John Linekar.

There is no god.

They are always looking for exciting fighters at the lower weights and he is one of the most exciting so surprising in that regard.  Maybe it had something to do with his history of having fights cancelled but who knows with the UFC lately...

He was also pretty vocal about the UFC not getting him fights but I suspect that a large part of the reason for his release is he's dropped out of four of his last six scheduled fights.

Move over Tito vs Del Rio there's a new most anticipated fight

According to Mark The Hammer Coleman's Facebook he's gonna fight Ken Shamrock in Shamrock's Bare Knuckle League's inaugural event.

If she has to go through this much trauma to cut weight, why doesn't she just fight at 145? She's probably not going to beat Nunes for either belt, so she might as well be healthy.

It might. Faber has lost 7 straight title fights. And Henry isn’t fighting again this year. Perfect chance for Faber to get a good win under his belt and get a real build for another title shot

I understand the outrage surrounding the stoppage of the main event and I think it's a shame that an undefeated fighter has to lose her 0 under such dubious circumstances. Buuuuuuut Ladd gave Herb Dean that shitty stoppage on a silver platter. In a fight where milliseconds can be the difference between a call getting made or not you absolutely, 100% cannot sit frozen on your hands and knees looking away from your opponent when you get dropped like that. It's just unfortunate because she was obviously okay to continue and then chose the exact moment Herb was stepping in as the time to roll away from the follow-up shot.

Yeah, I think Herb was in the act of making the move before she started to roll to her butt.  LOTC is right, you can't sit there on your hands and knees facing away from your opponent, especially if it looks like you're about to get hammered by a blind uppercut from behind.  Ladd didn't get hit cleanly with it as she started to roll the millisecond GDR connected but by then it was too late.

Yeah I think Ladd saw the follow-up shot coming and decided at that moment "Better move out of the way" but at that point her body language was reading poorly and Herb was already stepping in.

If he can’t pull this out then I’d be ok with that. He’s my favorite fighter, but a midget in any weight class he can make.
