So weird seeing Robbie do almost nothing in a fight.

For all of his rep as a violence god (and it's well deserved) Lawler has had many fights over the span of his career where he sits back and can't get anything going, too reliant on landing a big counter. I was worried that Colby had the cardio and pace to put it on him for 25 minutes like RDA did and sadly it's what happened.

Frankie is dropping to 135. Weird that in his third division there are still some fighters that’ll be way bigger than him.

Aljo, Yan and Munhoz would all merk him and he's lucky he's teammates with Moraes. Him vs Cruz if it could ever happen without injury to either guy would be an amazing fight to make.

UFC has released Cat Zingano. Unsurprising because she was 1-4 in her last 5 but kinda surprising because I thought there was a chance that if she won a few at BW she'd get a chance to fight Nunes again not to mention the circumstances under which her last fight ended.

DC's loss was super disappointing considering that he won the three rounds prior to that.

The Nate fight though, I EXPECTED THAT SHIT GODDAMNIT. Nate beats up kickboxers because he takes their range away from them. The thing is though, Anthony has been washed up for a little bit. I don't care what fights he won or any of that stuff. He's an exciting fighter who takes beatdowns like nobody else. In his last two wins he did very little prior to the finishes. The first round against Chiesa, he was losing until a punch right at the horn and none of the judges gave him that round anyway. Wonderboy was working him over too.

He does damage, but actually winning these fights blow for blow is not happening. With that in mind, Nate winning 30-27 is not that surprising. On the flip side of that it's more surprising that Pettis didn't give up when he was getting his face smashed in. I thought he was trying to give up when he was turned around with his back to the fence and his head covered.

Nate against Jorge, which is going to happen, I don't really know what'll happen.

Is Cormier losing in the way he did, after having three dominating rounds in the can the worst way that somebody has lost a title in recent memory? I think it might be especially given how intelligent a fighter DC is. It was just baffling to sit there and watch him take shot after shot with no response until the point where he got crippled by one and his entire defense fell apart. I think that he thought that Stipe would have gone down by that point and had no answer once he returned fire.

Also weird fact especially considering it's their home state but Rockhold, Cain and now DC twice have all lost their belts in California.

Awesome win. Very underrated

She's looked virtually flawless since her debut but I don't think anybody expected her to win this quickly and this brutally. Insane.

I would love to see Zhang at 125 against Valentina. I think she'd make a good account of herself.

Dana White is saying what he saw in the BJ Penn bar fight video was sad and he won’t fight in the UFC again. Where as fans have realized his last 8 years of fighting in the UFC have been sad and have been calling for this for a while now.

Also, Khabib skipped the open workout and media day, looks very drawn out. When do we start panicking?

The main event is a fight that is big enough and would sell more than the average UFC PPV if it wasn't in a different time zone, definitely worth a thread.

I think Khabib wins but who knows, haven't done any analysis of it or anything. I could easily see Dustin grinding him out on the feet like he did with Holloway, who is a better overall striker than Khabib. The odds are a bit too lopsided, but I'm not betting against Khabib's wrestling advantage.

For me this is one of those fights where one guy has to be perfect for 25 minutes to win, the other guy only needs one opportunity to impose their strength and they'll win. For Dustin to take this he's going to need to fight a smart and hard fight. Stay in the center of the cage, no back against the wall, no clich or bodylock situations. Also something that doesn't bode well for Poirier is his lack of experience against really strong wrestlers. His resume over the last couple years, even further back then that is basically strikers and wrestler/grapplers who are comfortable on the feet. I can't remember the last time he fought a guy who tried for the entire length of the fight to ground him.

Mounted Peruvian necktie? That's a goddamn sub of the year candidate. Happy for Misha but it's restrained happiness because he looked on the verge of quitting when Crute was hitting him with the hammerfists prior to the sweep.

After seeing Tony go hard back and forth with Cowboy and then seeing what Gaethje did to him I think that the only person in the division who can take out Justin is Khabib and maybe Poirier if they fight again but even then I don't know. The guy is a fucking animal. Cowboy might still stick around and get good wins at LW and even WW if he moves back up but I think he's on borrowed time. Looked slow and his protesting the stoppage was ridiculous given how bad he went down.
