Caught a vid of the fight. I couldn’t believe that Chuck didn’t even have one good somewhat quick punch in the tank. Not one. Wanderlei/Rampage were fighting at light speed compared to what he showed.

This made me even more scared of the Anderson/Israel debacle upcoming.

I caught the fight on YouTube last night. He was so painfully slow. Tito celebrating after beating that version of Chuck Liddell was sad to see.

Ngannou looked revitalized. The Champ hype is back, and it's deserved.

I think the Blaydes hype needs to be walked back a bit, concurrently. His head movement was horrible and Ngannou read it quickly and put him away quickly because of it.

It's not being renewed period. Dana is trying to sell the "He needs time outside the UFC, we'll take him back eventually" line but the real reason is because Sage wanted money they wouldn't pay him. He was offered a fight against Wonderboy on the ESPN debut card in Brooklyn and turned it down.

Ehh. Dana had gone back on a ton of “this is final” statements.

I know he’s young. But he has some serious gaps to fill to fight the top guys in the ufc. Probably is for the best if he goes elsewhere for a bit.

Nobody watched either card on the weekend?

- Rick Glenn vs Kevin Aguilar got robbed for FOTN on Friday, everybody should watch that one. Really good stuff.
- Benavidez winning made me feel happy, the dude has had a rough road recently and with him holding a win over Cejudo and being former teammates with Dillashaw I hope he can get one last title shot in before his skills hit a decline.
- Don't know anything about either TUF winners though I knew who Kinzaid was because of her Invicta fights so I guess Chaison is okay cause she beat her?
- Usman is a talented, horribly boring and ineffective fighter. Keep him the fuck away from top fights until he learns to finish. RDA needs to fight a grappler or striker next to get some confidence back, in 2017 you could make an argument for him being Fighter of The Year and in 2018 he's 0-2 and has had back to back horrible stylistic matchups.

Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya have been tearing each other apart the past few days. "Surprisingly" Dana really has nothing to counter Oscar's points about him being sleazy garbage as businessman so he's snapped and has challenged him to a drug test and keeps calling him a cokehead junkie even more than he was a few weeks ago.

Barboza being an underdog made no sense to me. I thought he was going to tool Hooker up. What a nasty beating.

Great win for Al. The way fights are scored it wouldn’t have surprised me to see Kevin win, but Al put a beating on him.

UFC is gonna need some new trainers at their state of the art Vegas facility that all their hype trains are ending up at. Between tonight showing Lee's low level fight IQ and Ngannou saying he had no idea what Stipe was doing to him and he never seen anything like that when it was just basic wrestling control I wouldn't wanna go there even with all the money that's saved by not going to a real camp/gym.

Just wanna say, I have it on video right before the fight saying Nunes in round 2. I really wish I put money on this. I felt like Cyborg was in a weight class that had no one great while Nunes has proven she’s a great striker, the level of greatness that Cyborg hasn’t faced. We all should’ve put money on this.

Haven't seen it yet (at work) but I followed the PBP and I don't really understand what Rizin's goal was if it wasn't a work or a "true" exhibition/sparring match:

1) Bring Floyd in to score a decent buyrate with DAZN; which doesn't work because Floyd/Tenshin isn't aired on the American broadcast

2) Bring Floyd in to score a decent rating with local population, who arguably don't care about Floyd.  I can't speak for Floyd's popularity in Japan but I can't believe that it's enough to pop a decent rating domestically.  It's not a direct correlation but it's similar to if UFC would have brought in a Sakuraba or Masato when they were big.

3) Bring Floyd in and work a boxing exhibition, which is what most expected and apparently didn't get, because I can't believe that they'd have Tenshin go out less than a round in, unless they believed the Japanese fans were so familiar with Floyd's greatness that they believed it wouldn't hurt him.

I'm just confused about the whole situation.  Maybe Floyd wouldn't agree to a work and Rizin officials just thought that it wouldn't hurt to have him come in and gain attention for the promotion outside of Japan?

To me it looked legit but more than a few of the Reddit MMA mutants were saying lulz fixed pretty fast so I thought I'd see what ya'll thought.

Another (farfetched?) scenario is that Rizin told Tenshin to try and KO him in a potential double cross but Floyd, being the experienced fighter that he is, caught on and finished him off.  Not likely, but you have to think about the history of Japanese MMA and Inoki/Ali, etc.

Let's talk more about how Kyoji Horiguchi is making a serious run at being the GOAT Japanese fighter.

sorry bro has to happen in a UFC cage.

also re: the floyd fight, the only reason it looked worked to me is because I didn't think Tenshin would look so bad. His reflexes were way slower than the 41-year-old. This guy is supposed to be the kickboxing star?

John Linekar is off the Brooklyn card next weekend so 50% of my interest in it is gone.
