I'm pretty shocked the entire back catalog hasn't been available. They should have done that at launch.

Presumably, there's a ton of issues to deal with RE: music rights for the early shows and erasing Gabe Sapolsky's commentary, which would explain the delay.

It's amazing how well Marty Scurll's done in his first month or so running creative. He's almost instantly made ROH relevant again.

I mean, a ton of that stuff is unwatchable from a production standpoint. I used to own quite a few VHS tapes from ROH's formative years and all those shows look like it was filmed on one of those old portable camcorders. The action is top-notch, sure, but the production and bush league venues (Murphy Rec Center, represent!) make it hard to enjoy in retrospect. I'm just too spoiled now.

Murphy Rec Center gave us LowKi/AmDrag, which might be the pound-for-pound best US match of that decade. Shut your whore mouth, Epic.

ROH should be having this Past Vs Present show at Murphy Rec Center for old times sake instead of Sam's Town Resort in Vegas, which has the atmosphere of an airport Chillis.

Is there a reason they'd have to erase Gabe's commentary other than it sucked?

Someone who has been following for ROH longer than me can correct me but I *think* it's because they have such bad blood with each other that they don't want to acknowledge his role in the company.

My new fake dream matches are Scurll vs Low Ki and the Dempseys vs King and Titus.

I was at the 1st ROH Anniversary show way back in 2003 where they had the blow-off to the big Mark and Jay feud. At the time I was blown away at the fact that one of the hottest feuds in the company was between a 19 and an 18 year old (I was 17 at the time).

I think "Mark Briscoe couldn't wrestle on the first ROH show cause he was too young to compete in the State of Pennsylvania" is ROH's equivalent of "You know Britt Baker is a licensed dentist." in AEW

It was novel at the time. I thought it was an interesting way to go, establishing young talent. Too bad it always will be overshadowed by the Ring Crew Express.

It kinda blows my mind they are really running with the “2 Guys, 1 Tag” team name for Young and Woods.  Sure, name a team after a shit/porn video from over a decade ago, why not?

First off, that name is incredibly awful. But this team is the first time where I've actively enjoyed Silas Young and Josh Wood is also really good as the dopey sidekick. It's great that after 5 or 6 years (Jesus...that long!?) in ROH, Silas Young is finally starting to show a few (not many but a few) notes beyond his grumpy asshole schtick.

I agree the team is a pretty good use of both guys at the moment and when I heard the name as a one-off, I just dismissed it.  Today it is on their entrance video and they indicated shirts will be created with the intentional of selling.

So ROH's return to NYC is not only going to be at that Terminal 5 venue everyone hates but it's also going to be on a Thursday Night.

They might draw even worse than the last time they were in NYC.

John Walters!!!

I remember young smark Kamala attending indy shows in '02/'03 thinking he was the next Benoit. In retrospect, glad I was wrong on that prediction!

Wow, John Walters? I think he changed his name on the indies for awhile and started doing a pre-Trump MAGA gimmick. How long before Chad Collyer and Jimmy Rave show up?

RJ Brewer, the kayfabe son of then Arizona Governor Jan Brewer.

Forgot to mention this special appearance at the ROH Throwback show.

Wonder what special appearance entails? Is he gonna sing or is he going to talk about moon landing conspiracies?

I like Paul London so good. He's gotta do one more "please don't die" bump somehow.

This show sounds like the best ROH event in years and they haven't even booked Ernie Osiris yet.

There is no way it would ever happen but if Fox Employee Punk had to appear anywhere, it'd be a five minute promo here.

Show is in Vegas, which is MMA Capital of the World (and Punk isn't a WWE employee technically) so I would say that raises chances of Punk showing up from impossible to unlikely.

At the very least, he should wander down to ringside during the Delirious Vs Danhausen match and give a Jim Halpert smirk to the camera.

Only if Cabana shows up to confront him leading to Ace Steel double crossing him.
