And the Browns traded for Damarious Randall too in exchange for DeShone Kizer.

I kind of wish I had heard the local (Green Bay) sports talk this evening. Packer fans probably had a seizure over trading a former 1st round pick for the guy who led the NFL in interceptions.

The Packers talked with Muhammad Wilkerson, but he's going to chat with the Saints and Jags before making his call.

Free-agent CB Richard Sherman told @JosinaAnderson that he has received preliminary interest from the Titans, Lions, Raiders, Texans, Bucs and Packers. But 49ers are his first visit, with meetings today.

Given how fast he signed, I'm guessing he wants to stick it to Pete Carroll.

It really feels like the 49ers are either going to win 12 games or lose 12 games with no in-between.

I'm just jumping in here to say that if the consensus #1 QB is Sexy Socialist Jew Josh Rosen and that dude doesn't play for my favorite football team then that'll probably be the final straw and I'll give up on watching the NFL.

Considering the Jets pick 6th and have an owner who works in the Trump Administration I guarantee that won't happen.

Unless something goes horribly wrong, I'm thinking 49ers win the Soup.

Now that I've jinxed it for you 49ers fans (do we have any, even), I think my work for now is done.

Rumors are floating that Cousins is getting ready to sign with the Vikes for somewhere around $27m per year.

If that does happen, the NFC is going to be a fucking blood bath between the Vikings, Eagles, Niners and Rams.

I heard the opposite as the Viks have several parts of the nucleus to resign (Barr, Diggs, etc) and don't want to ruin their cap.

Has a QB with a losing record ever had so much hype?

Likely didn't have a losing record, but most comparable in recent memory is probably Matt Flynn, cashing in after that one GB-Detroit game.

I'm not going to be mad if the Jets get Cousins, but would greatly prefer they draft a QB instead. I'd be fine with any of the big four, though Allen makes me nervous.

Cousins is okay, but I wonder what certain people are drinking when they claim he's one of the best QBs in the NFL.  I've heard several people say he's a top five QB and I just can't see how he's anywhere close to that.

DT Suh and LB Timmons both cut by the Dolphins. Not sure where Suh goes from here, because he so rarely plays 100% and what team is going to attempt to get him motivated.

I would say Pats, but he probably wouldn't go to them because he doesn't play full gear all the time.

Buffalo sends OT Cordy Glenn to Cincinnati for a first round draft pick swap (Bills move up to 12, Bengals drop to 21). They will also flip fifth and sixth round picks.

Buffalo's march to a top 5 pick continues...

Cousins signing with Minnesota, and all four QB's (and Barkley) being drafted ahead of the Jets at #6 is a nightmare scenario. Jets have to be aggressive to trade up.

Holy shit, three teams are prepared to give him 3 fully guaranteed years, one that's nearly 3. So basically Broncos, Viks and Jets are all guaranteed money, while I'm betting Arizona is the nearly guaranteed.

How the hell is Kirk Cousins getting a contract like that? If he shits the bed, you are on the hook for three years.

I mean, I know he's good, but I'm not sure he's that good.

Oh neat. Tweets get converted. That'll be nice when I need to link stuff.

Double Edit: Appears I made a mistake, 2 are offering full, while one is nearly full. My bad. Still insane.

Looks like Broncos are signing Case to Bortles type money. Since nothing about the contract has leaked yet, most likely they are still working on the contract.

With the Broncos out that leaves the Jets, Viks and Cards to fight it out over Cousins. It also probably suggests that it was those 3 teams willing to toss all that money at Cousins. With the Viks not able to re-sign Case now, I'm thinking they are going to pull out all the stops to try to land Cousins now.

I'm thinking it'll probably come down to the Viks or Cards. The Jets aren't really ready just yet to compete for a title, I think. Though, if you add Cousins, maybe they could at least be decent.

Still, it is stupid how much money he's going to make. 3 years guaranteed is nuts.

Edit:

Drew Brews is staying with New Orleans, so another QB off the table.

Sammy Watkins also off the table. Surprising signing, so Mahomes got Watkins, Hill, and Kelce to throw too. If he doesn't have a good year, wtf.

Oh my God, the Bears might be signing Allen Robinson. That's a huge surprise. Wow. Not the team I would've thought would get him.

I keep wondering if the Saints are going to take Baker Mayfield as Brees' heir apparent.
I watched RAW. I thought it sucked. The usual problems and such.

I don't think Baker will be available when the Saints pick, unless they're joining the trade up party. I think four QB's go in the top 6 picks.

Cousins to Minnesota seems to be a done deal. 3 years, fully guaranteed.

The Buffalo Panthers continue to grow, as they're signing Star Lotulelei to a 5 year deal, haven't seen any financials yet though.    Should be a big improvement to their run D.

Also the Bills are bringing Kyle Williams back for one more year.

The Jets also gave McCown 10 million so I'm not sure what's happening.

The Packers cut Jordy Nelson. Raiders should gamble and bring him in to be the third guy.

Bridgewater to the Jets doesn't seem to be official yet, but it was reported earlier they're talking about a deal. Doesn't make a lot of sense for him, since he should go to a team where he has a chance to start. McCown is far from a sure thing, but I'd assume Bridgewater wouldn't want to sign somewhere only to be sandwiched between McCown and an assumed rookie QB.

I was guessing Arizona would've been a good spot, but they decided to pay Bradford $15 million instead.

Jets also signed Isaiah Crowell to a 3-year deal. Cool, I guess.
Edit: Well said, BZ.

Titans signed Malcolm Butler to a 5-year deal. Was hoping the Jets would get him. They'd better be all in for Trumaine Johnson at this point.

Update: They are! Trumaine to the Jets. Contract details not out there yet.

We definitely overpaid (like 15 mill a year) but fills a need and takes a bullshit CB pick off the table at 6

Jordy graded out as the worst WR in the league last year, but he was playing with Brett Hundley so it's hard to say much there. He couldn't get separation. Jimmy Graham can't get separation either anymore but he's great in the red zone.

Yeah, I'm well aware Nelson was garbage last year.  Which is why I'm willing to wait and see instead of just dumping all over it.  I'm just nervous.

OL Joe Thomas retired. Looks like he'll be heading into broadcasting, so he'll likely be a voice for the Cleveland Browns. Looks like they'll probably draft a OL, I would think.
