From Yahoo:

"Week 16 will be two weeks due to the MLB All-Star Game and run from July 16th through July 29th. Roster deadlines, innings-pitched minimums, and weekly transaction limits won't change during this fantasy week."

If anyone is looking for futures, I have these two on the trade block:

Fernando Tatis Jr, SS (R20, Y1)
Alex Reyes, SP (R14, Y1)

Both are out for this season but have extremely high ceilings.

The tank job is now on! Listening to offers on everyone. Though, if it is someone I want to keep, I want something very much more to move him.

We are in the final week of the regular season. We have some pretty good battles going on for playoff spots.

Harley, Chewbie, and MFer are within 3.5 games of each other for the 6th and final championship bracket playoff spot.

Daovir's Team, Flik, and Don are battling it out for the final consolation bracket spot. 4.5 games seperate 12th to 14th.

Also of note, we are for sure having 1 spot open next year. Daovir is going for the ride. He constantly was missing minimum innings for his pitching staff. Having various DL corpses in your starting pitching staff week after week is not the way to get it done in your first season. DL = no stats. So see ya.

:-\ I wasn't much better with the DL, but it wasn't like it was my fault. Half the time I'd have a guy on the DL on my roster during the week they got hurt.

...also had literally everyone on my f'n team under perform. I was finally expecting to move up the card. Sigh.

I'm talking multiple weeks if not multiple months with the same hurt players in his pitching staff. No real excuse for that. I actually can see a strategy of not using a replacement Catcher sometimes if your DL is full and you dont have a roster spot to burn for some shitty replacement level catcher. But multiple hurt SPs is not the way to go.

Amazed I'm still in the running considering Sale has been on the DL for a while and my team has been spotty as hell all year.

Nothing else to say. All players are on the table for trades for next season, because I might as well help an actual proper team get some real players off of this shitty farm team.

Since my team took a chair shot from OG as he got his revenge from last years championship, here's my keepers...

Giancarlo Stanton, OF (Round 1 - Year 9)
Nolan Arenado, 3b (Round 4 - Year 5)
Antony Rizzo, 1b (Round 4 - Year 7)
Manny Machado, 3b/SS (Round 4 - Year 7)
Kyle Schwarber, OF (Round 15 - Year 4)
Aaron Judge OF (Round 20 - Year 2)
Rhys Hoskins OF (Round 20 - Year 2)
Gleyber Torres, 2b/SS (Round 20 - Year 2)

All and all a wasted year for my team. My window is down to about 1 more year with this core until tough decisions will have to be made. The bulk of my team are all about to consume all my early picks. My pitching staff generally was a disaster. Cole worked out. Everyone else crashed and burned. Cueto, Ray, Archer, and Gray all disappointed. Bad thing is a few guys I wanted to draft and missed out on by 1 pick had great years, Nola, Carrasco. I managed to rebuild a staff late, but they even got lit up when it counted. Trading for Jansen who promptly had heart issues basically summed this season up. Oh well, on to 2019!

Also, I'm planning on having 16 teams next season. We essentially had 12 this year and two teams that basically were just placeholders. There will be a small expansion style draft next year somewhat similar to what we did this year. I'll have official details about that in the coming week or two. It will not effect any existing team's keepers unless that specific team chooses for it to. So don't freak.

Another year, another time in the bloody bottom of the league. I seriously need to do better next year.

Keepers:
Miguel Andujar - R13Y1 - A good bargain, here's hoping he hits better.
Rafael Devers - R20Y2 - I shouldn't be disappointed, but I was.
Carlos Correa - R13Y4 - A little disappointed with his performance this year. Still f'n fantastic, but I expected much better.
George Springer - R4Y5 - Again, disappointed. Worth it, but still I wanted more. I'm greedy.
Andrew Benintendi - R6Y2 - He was entirely worth the round cost. Here's hoping he continues to produce at the level he has been or even better.
Juan Soto - R20Y1 - Damn, did I get lucky that this trade was accepted for him. He's been a gift and I will love him dearly.
Victor Robles - R20Y1 - Here's hoping he gets called up and Harper goes bye bye, becaus he would and will be awesome.
Fernando Tatis - R20Y1 - Another one I'm hoping gets a call up.

Players Available:
1B/2B/3B/SS/OF Jurickson Profar
2B Cesar Hernandez
2B Yoan Moncada
2B/SS/OF Chris Taylor
3B/SS Nick Senzel
SS Corey Seager
SP Alex Reyes

If someone wants one of these guys before the draft, let me know.

Annnd NEW league champion Chewbie! #6 Chewbie defeated the mighty #1 Steak 8-4 by getting some ridiculous pitching this week.

In the consolation bracket, both Will and Harley missed the minimum innings giving Will Scarlet the consolation title with a 5-0 win.

Tentative 2019 Keepers:

OF - Mike Trout
OF - JD Martinez
OF - Ronald Acuna

1B - Paul Goldschmidt
3B - Jose Ramirez
SS - Alex Bregman
3B/OF - Kris Bryant

SP - Noah Syndergaard

Really tempted to replace Thor with Nola, but the round value makes it difficult to Syndergaard go. Could always change my mind come spring training.

Really like my offense though, even with the high round value on some of the players.

End of year wrap up post! It's long, but there's a lot of important info in there.

We had 14 teams this year. I want to hopefully bump the league up to 16 teams next year. Hopefully. We'll have 3 exiting teams this year, Cartman, Daovir (due to little to no activity), and the Roy/MFer team (due to little to no activity). IF I can get the 5 total new managers I want, we will have a small expansion draft for them. If it is only enough new managers to keep us at 14 teams, we will just have the standard mini-keeper draft we have done in the past.

All of the players on the exiting teams will be available to them. Also IF we do an expansion draft, a certain number of unkept players from returning teams will be made available. Possibly 4. I'll have to do the math at a later date. The players designated will be the most desirable players to a new team. None of your keepers will be made available to them, so do not fret. To reiterate, that will only be done IF we do an expansion draft. Finally, picks in a compensatory round will also be available to them in lieu of a player in the expansion or mini-draft. There's nothing fun about joining a league to instantly be hamstrung with a horrendous team. We've all had years to build up our squads. So it is only fair to give the incoming squads a slight boost. It has worked well this past season as a brand new team won the championship.

We will have a hard keeper deadline this year of, November 15th. There's no real reason to wait until the deadline date. If you don't know your keepers by the end of the regular season your team has major problems. After the hard-deadline, you will only be able to trade players listed as your keepers & draft picks. Unkept players will not be tradeable after the hard deadline. If keepers aren't posted or relayed to me by the end of that date, I will assume you are out and your squad will be deposited into the expansion draft. The only keeper change exemptions to the hard keeper deadline are retirement, significant year long injury, death or significant suspension. Depending on when you plan on using the exemption, will determine the course of action. Either you will be able to take a player from our previous roster if you still own their rights, or you can have a compensatory pick to replace the exempted player. Lack of a MLB contract is not going to be a valid reason for exemption. If an exemption is granted, it will be finalized 1 week before the official league draft.

Compensatory round. The compensatory round will take place between Round 3 and Round 4. It will be ordered on a first come first serve basis. New managers will be able to select, up to 3 compensatory picks during their keeper draft in lieu of drafting a player. Veteran managers will receive a compensatory pick if they have a player they owned the rights to selected in the new manager draft. I'm doing this because typically we would have traded some of these unkept players in the offseason. Since that's not going to be an option after the hard deadline, I am adding a way for veteran teams to at least receive some compensation. Veteran teams can only receive a maximum of 2 comp picks.

Another order of business, do we want to move from a weekly format to a daily format with limited weekly transaction moves? I feel like its brought up every season due to the way MLB teams designate players for DL. I think I could be in favor of it now. There really is nothing enjoyable about being stuck with a corpse all week when you have a perfectly good player on your bench you could have used. It would also make our benches more important instead of just being a storage repository.

Danny Jansen
Eugenio Suárez
Trea Turner
Matt Olson
Ryan Borucki
Forrest Whitley
Lucas Giolito
Lou Trivino

I prefer weekly rosters, but I won't complain if we change. If we do change, I'd like a low number of maximum transaction moves, though.

I prefer Daily Moves. There's literally no reason not to IMO: 1 - There's literally a button you can press. 2 - You can still set your lineups for the "week" just going day by day. 3 - It's easier to react to a guy going on the DL on a Monday/Tuesday without losing the week.

2B/3B/SS Eduardo Escobar (Round 20 - Year 1)
3B Matt Chapman (Round 20 - Year 1)
SP Chris Sale (Round 1 - Year 7)
SP Justin Verlander (Round 1 - Year 2)
SP Mike Clevinger (Round 9 - Year 1)
SP Sean Newcomb (Round 20 - Year 1)
SP/RP Trevor Cahill (Round 20 - Year 1)
RP Brad Hand (Round 20 - Year 2)

Decided to lock up my pitching so I can focus pretty much on hitters early in the draft. Dozier seems like a solid keeper but his OBP/SLG plummeted and I don't like him in Dodger Stadium.

McCullers is having Tommy John so I need to make a change.

I will instead take a chance on:

Trevor Williams, SP - Round 20, Year 1

TIL re: the 'Start Active Players' button also related to the Daily vs. Weekly Moves is that it also offers an option to set for the entire week for those worried about having to pay attention daily.

I'm switching Syndergaard with Nola as my last keeper. All Mets can fuck off from any of my fantasty teams next season.
