I've read some defense saying Conor just bumped interest in a card no one was interested in. I don't know how any of his marks see this and thinks, "Wow, McGreGOAT won't be fighting on this card but I just gotta see this card now. That dolly he threw at a bus really makes me wanna spend money on this now."

He will, there are criminal consequences. Don't listen to Twitter goofs.

Chiesa is fighting btw.

Yep Conor is gonna wind up like Tupac at this rate. If Khabib's team was on the bus he would literally be dead.

I'm starting to think this was an "exit with style on your own terms" from the sport... if I get into the mind of a jet lagged cokehead. He's aware that he lost his title and the UFC money isn't really appealing anymore for him to try and go get it back. This is a way to go out and become a semi-celeb who appears in a few movies here and there while taking one or two more big money boxing matches.

A lot of people will see it this way instead of looking like a guy who was afraid to ever defend any of his titles.

Can they do a three hour 30 for 30 special about the falls of both Jon Jones and Conor McGregor?

Quote
“I am laughing inside,” Nurmagomedov said. “You broke window? Why? Come inside. You know UFC don’t let you come inside. If you real gangster why don’t you come inside?

“This is big history gangster place. Brooklyn. You want to talk to me? Send me location. We have to talk? I am gonna come, no problem.

“I grew up like this. I don’t grow up throwing chairs at window. This is not my bus.”

“To be honest, I don’t want him to go to jail,” Nurmagomedov said. “We have to fight. If we have to fight, let’s fight. Send me location. Please, we have to fix this. Me and you. One-on-one. You want 10-on-10? OK.

“I give his whole team slap and no one say anything. He come with media, with cameras when I’m alone. Of course I want to go outside but they don’t let me leave the bus. He knows this.

“They don’t do nothing. I’m here.”

In a real fight outside of the cage I'm pretty sure Khabib would actually kill him. I think there is a chance of this ending in someone getting shot.

Now the Chiesa and Borg fights are off. Borg has glass in his eyes and Chiesa's cuts are the problem. Chiesa also can't cut weight anymore.

McGregor will definitely get sued. He’s gonna have to pay it off by fighting. Only fight he should get is vs Khabib in Russia then banned from the sport.

EDIT: he should def get banned right now, just wanna see khabib send him off

This guy ruined the best card of the year.

He ended up getting three fights cancelled. Dana has let this asshole do whatever he wants for so long now. Anyone else would be fired on the spot... well maybe not Rousey or Jones

Call me crazy, but out of the field of Pettis, Al and Ortgea, I feel like Pettis has the better chance to make it interesting.  All three get killed.

It sounds like it's Al vs Khabib but sources seem to be unclear on what the title status is. Is it only a title fight for Khabib?

Also, the UFC should never go back to New York. Ever. Their A.C makes Texas look like California.

Imagine if this shitshow ends with one of the most vocal fighters to hate the UFC & Dana and always call them out in recent memory beats the guy they keep trying to anoint as the champion of 155.

They should've called up Ortega from the beginning. T-City would've made weight considering he's not a guy who had to pull out from a fight with a supposed serious injury at UFC 222.

what was the deal with pettis? Also feel bad for Al that being 0.2 lbs over is too much for him to win the title. Shoulda given him an extra hour or something to cut, considering the circumstances.

Also FUCK YEAH ZABEAST ON THE MAIN CARD.

Last I heard, Pettis was the same amount of weight over that Al is and they (NY sports commission) took the scale away and refused to let him cut/re-weigh. Also, they had someone else lined up but he was too far down the UFCs rankings and NY nixed that fight too

My conspiracy theory is that MacGregor is actually on the WWE's payroll and Vince sent him to mess up the card on Wrestlemania weekend. Vince is petty enough to do it.

Drugs are a more simple explanation.

Raging Al DOES win the title if he wins, according to Dana.

More likely he had to do this to get the Irish Mob off his back as a conspiracy theory.

Ragin' Al has the definition of a puncher's chance in this fight, some places having him at +550 is a bit disrespectful though. He should lose but he has legit hands and enough takedown defence to be worth more than that.

I think Al will get mauled too, but I think he has a good stylistic matchup on the feet that gives him a chance to win.

The stats say Joanna outstruck Rose, but this is a good example of using your eyes and common sense to award damage and significant strikes over body parts merely connecting with other body parts.

Rose looked way good early, Joanna looked like she had no answer for not being able to lead with her jab. She turned things in her favor with the leg kicks, but it wasn't enough.
