I don't buy into the theory that the UFC is looking to get rid of 125 but if I did I'd look at the placement of the #1 and #5 fighters in the division on a Fight Pass prelim, not even the Fight Pass main event and go "Yeah, they want to get rid of that division."

But fuck it, this card is BANANNAS.

Been too busy man.

https://streamable.com/pf4go - I liked this conversation point from the man about to get his ass whooped by the real Michael Jackson.

RDA is going to wreck Covington and I'm gonna enjoy it.

I don’t think I’ve ever hoped somebody gets seriously hurt in the cage like I hope Covington gets hurt.

The focus on him makes me like MMA less.

He's never ran up against a terminator like RDA, someone who went through 155 like water until running into weight trouble. I think there's practically no chance he wins.

This is a great card. One of few ones lately that I have wanted to see fights on the Fight Pass/FS1/PPV level.

My ex GF is a Punk mark. I may have to see if I can get her over to throw in.

I'm torn on Colby. I want to see him get destroyed by someone, but unless we know for sure RDA can do it in glorious fashion, I may be fine with him winning so the next guy does it. That said, I don't want to hear his victory speech so I'll be rooting for RDA.

Agreed. I understand the desire to try and talk yourself into stardom, but his shit talk game isn’t that good. It’s just outlandish and frequent. And MMA sites are lapping it up any chance they get. That Maia win feels like it was forever ago

Yoel missed weight. Has 2 hours to lose a lb assuming he gets medically cleared.

Whittaker doesn't have the clout with UFC to be the guy who takes a stand on weight cutting and refuses a bout plus he loses money on it and flew 24 hrs for nothing. I think he'll take it but I hope he doesn't.

I really don’t need to see Reem take any more beatings. Enough is enough. Rashad too. He hasn’t looked good in years.

Colby has to be the least known male champion in the post TUF era. So the act goes on a little longer. Gas tank is the only way I can see him beating Woodley.

I scored the main event a draw with a 10-8 fifth round for Yolo. Couldn’t really get the call went either way.

This UFC CM Punk fantasy fight camp embarrassment is finally over. Thank fucking Christ.

I thought Yoel could have done a little more to earn a 10-8 in the last round as it seemed he let off the gas right when he should have pressed harder.  Nut shot break was a big momentum shift, IMO.  Romero milked that break for all it was worth.

Doesn't sound like Dana is going to give him another chance either.

Quote pulled from Dana's post-event press conference:

Quote
"It should be a wrap," White said of Punk's future in the UFC when asked about the topic during the UFC 225 post-fight press conference on Saturday night. "The guy is 39 years old. I love the guy -- he's the nicest guy in the world. We gave him two shots, and he had a lot of heart tonight in this fight. And, yeah, I think he should call it a wrap."

Keep in mind they were operating under the new rules so if you don't even want to give Romero the 3rd a 10-8 for dropping Whittaker twice he gets one for the sheer lopsided nature of the 5th in terms of the amount of strikes he landed. That fight is a draw under the new scoring criteria, 100%.

Squeaky wheels in mma get the grease. Nobody gave a shit who he was or knew his name until he went full on MAGA. The reason people genuinely hate him is because his gimmick has no off switch unlike guys like Chael Sonnen who adopted a similar personality that lead to stardom but knew when to shut up and be humble.

I wouldn't have had a problem if it would have been a draw based on this.

I'm dead serious when I say that him vs Tyron Woodley has the potential to disintegrate into some of the ugliest trash-talk in the history of the sport, both by the fighters and their supporters. White Trump fan who panders to the alt-right vs Progressive black fighter from Ferguson who's very vocal about social justice and racial issues. It could get really bad.
