I was a little worried at first when I saw the end of Split but holy shit if the preview is any indication they've done everything right.
I watched RAW. I thought it sucked. The usual problems and such.

That looks fantastic. I haven't watched Unbreakable in ten years or so, but it looks like M. Night nailed this.

Yeah, that's a shame since M. Night was going through a career resurgence with Split and The Visit and Unbreakable is easily his best film.

Seems like it's been pretty divisive scoring a 5.2 thus far from 40 critics with some liking it and others not. Kind of reminds me of Unbreakable in that regard (which scored just a 6.3 from critics and fans liked that far more).

Got my ticket to see this at 10:00 AM on Friday morning. Trying to beat the afternoon/late night crowds + with the storm hitting Saturday into Sunday, I figure the majority are gonna try and catch this at the end of Friday or throughout Saturday.

I'm getting on this right away Thursday evening with an IMAX showing (in the largest screen in MN too at 80 feet tall) and am pumped.

I'll be watching Split again tonight to get caught up but damn, Unbreakable holds up so incredibly well upon a second viewing last night.

It's an arguable point but I think Unbreakable might be M. Night's best work in his career, looking back.

I’ll post longer thoughts in my review thread.

What a misfire this was.

I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. The dialogue was the usual levels of Shyamalan expository dump and freshman psychology babble, but I still enjoyed it as a whole.
Maybe the real deep state was the friends we made along the way.
