wow Vegas has the bills at 6.5, the under feels like a 'lock of the week' pick.

I'm really interested to see what the Rams do this year with that added year of experience for their young, talented squad. I'll try to watch their games this year.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers got paid, and then some.

The Packers and Rodgers have agreed to terms on a four-year, $134 million extension, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's James Jones reported, per a source informed. Rodgers also receives a record $57.5 million signing bonus and will earn more than $80 million by March, Rapoport added.

Considering the other QB contracts going around, it isn't that bad.  Lock him up for 6 years at an average of 29.1 million per.  He just needs to stay healthy.  God knows they couldn't let him go.  The team is atrocious without him.  He single-handedly turns a garbage team into a Super Bowl contender.  I'd much rather be paying this to Rodgers than be paying out Kirk Cousin's and Matt Ryan's contracts.

Contracts going around! Seahawks signed WR Tyler Lockett to a three-year, $31.8 million extension through 2021 and gets $20 Mill guaranteed.

Houston lost LB Ben Heeney for the year to an ankle injury in which he'll undergo surgery.

To build off Brody's post: Seahawks acquired QB Brett Hundley from the Packers in exchange for a 2019 6th-round pick.

Teddy Bridgewater to Saints

Saints acquired QB Teddy Bridgewater and a 2019 6th-round pick from the Jets in exchange for a 2019 3rd-round pick.

Fantastic deal for the Jets and a solid one for the Saints. Jets already have Darnold in place as the Starter with McCown as a proven veteran who can step in to spot start if necessary. The 3rd Rounder will likely end up in the 18-26 range which is still pretty valuable for a team that is partly in rebuilding mode.

Saints get an extra draft pick that could be a high 6th Rounder and get a QB who's young, very talented (and healthy), and is the successor to Drew Brees. If New Orleans strikes it right, they've basically pulled a Drew Brees 2.0 and acquired a Starting QB for the next 8-10 years.

I'm going to be bold and say that Teddy's going to be starting for the Saints next year. Regardless of how the Saints season goes. This was clearly a move to get next year's QB ahead of time.

Surprised all the Jets got for Teddy is a 3rd. I would've figured a 2nd at least.

That's a little too bold for me.  Brees shows no signs that's he going to be giving up any time soon.

Raiders want two first rounders for Mack.

My buddy was in Vegas this week, MGM has them down to 6 and another book has them down to 5.5. It looks like some of the books that haven't changed it have them around -190 to bet the under.

Bengals over 6.5 started at -130 and is now up to -180.

Pre-season and all but blowing a 24 point lead is still pretty crazy. Allen didn't play at all so either they were protecting him (likely) or he still somehow has a shot at starting.

Falcons acquired S Jordan Richards from the Patriots in exchange for a 2020 conditional 7th-round pick. Richards likely was gonna be cut so it's a solid try for New England if Atlanta sticks with Richards.

Jets waived/released WR Charles Johnson, OT Antonio Garcia, DL Kendall Reyes, C Gino Gradkowski, OLB David Bass, and FB Dimitri Flowers. Johnson was hyped while with Minnesota as a potential good WR in 2014 but hasn't shown anything close to that since as he's bounced around. Bass has bounced around but had 3.5 Sacks with the Jets last year and should get picked up pretty quickly.

Bears get: Khalil Mack, a 2020 second-round round pick and a conditional 2020 fifth-round pick.
Raiders get: 2019 first-round pick, 2020 first-round pick, 2020 third-round pick, 2019 sixth-round pick.

Terrible trade for both teams tbh.

I feel obligated to point out that the Raiders defense was never even good with Mack on the field, obviously it's still stupid to trade a player like that. But the Bears did limit their own ability to improve in the process of making the trade.

We would have drafted a pass rusher with one of those 1st's. Surprised we got a 2nd back. Basically traded back in 2020 with our 1st to save some cash. Raiders will be in full on trash mode by then so that'll be an early 2nd.

Ryan Pace has showed if there is something or someone he wants, he won't get cheap and miss out. I'd much rather have the best DE in the league than fuck around with a rookie. Mack is going to help free up everyone else on the D-Line. Akiem Hicks probably has beat himself raw all morning. Bears had a top 10 D last year with no Mack, Leonard Floyd, or Roquan Smith. Only way this ends up bad for the Bears is if that dude gets a career ending injury.

Also, honestly, I almost feel like I'm over this shit. I've been watching trash all but one season for 15 years. The Raiders also subsequently went on to waste pretty much every draft pick since that one season. There is no hope with this team ever, I'm not looking forward to the season at all.

That never happened in Oakland. Shouldn't have traded him, but this isn't a player that is the kind of cornerstone who will improve all the other players he's playing with. The Raiders were near the bottom of the league in sacks every year, even with Mack. The year the Raiders made the playoffs they were actually last in the league in sacks. They should have just hit him with the franchise tag forever.

The Raiders will also have the draft picks to get rid of Carr and take a QB very early in either of the next two drafts. Which they should unless certain aspects of his performance improve drastically.

Pack cut their starting fullback the RIPPPPPAH, and Badger Vince Biegel.

Two popular white guys being the most prominent releases. Our fat, drunken, casually racist base is probably in an uproar.

Edit - EIGHT WRs and 4 TE's!  The receiving core after Adams is the overpaid and underperforming Cobb, and then about 5 guys who might be good after 2 or 3 years or learning. The flashiest of the rookies, Jake Kudarow, didn't play the last 2 weeks because he hurt himself by leaping into the end zone instead of going down shy of the goal line while being tackled.  12's going to earn that paycheck!

Giants waived QB Davis Webb (meaning Kyle Lauletta will backup Eli Manning) and claimed DE Mario Edwards while the Broncos waived bust QB Paxton Lynch while claiming QB Kevin Hogan.

In other news: Miami claimed QB Luke Falk and Baltimore signed CB Cyrus Jones to their PS. Patriots claimed WRs Amara Darboh (a guy I really liked coming out of Michigan) and Chad Hansen.

To no surprise, the Chargers signed TE Antonio Gates to a 1 year deal.
