This definitely looks like a game between two teams that played 7 1/2 hours last night.  At least it is going quickly.  And we get the awesome sight of pitchers awkwardly trying not to kill themselves at bat.

Dave Roberts is the single dumbest motherfuck. Stop bringing in Madson and stop having Jansen pitch two innings.

Lot of guys on the Dodgers will share the blame. Really a shame because Rich Hill pitches a hell of a game.

I know Dombrowski gets shit for not getting more bullpen arms at the deadline, but picking up Eovaldi (who has basically been that bullpen help) and Pearce have paid off in spades.

Kimbrel in the 9th?  Uh....

Price is starting Game 5, not Sale.  I guess they don't want Sale swinging a bat.  Sure didn't think I'd be this confident in Price starting a clinching game a month ago, I'll tell you that.

Maybe not.  This is Derek Lowe in 2004 just coldly slitting the Cardinals' throats.

Maybe get someone warming there, Dave?

David Price’s redemption is perhaps the best story of this World Series.

I'd keep him out for the 8th honestly, with the leash of allowing one runner on.  He's probably wrapped up MVP already.

EDIT: Fuck it, give it to Pearce and Price.  They can share the truck.

I'd think MVP has to either be Price or Pearce at this point, as Pearce had a few key hits.

To me, Pearce is the feel-good story for MVP - 35 year old who gets traded mid-season to the team he grew up following.  Had some great games against the Yankees to cement his fan base in Boston during the regular season and now a very good World Series.

Price is a good redemption for a guy that has mostly just been a bad contract.

Joe Kelly is another bit of redemption.  He was shaky as hell through the season and one of the guys focused on when people said their bullpen was suspect but he's just been blowing pricks away all October.

I'd love to see Eovaldi end it, but it'll probably be Sale.

Greatest Red Sox team of all time.  Also fitting for the former Oriole being the one to make the last out.

Congrats to the resident Red Sox fans.

Fourth World Series win for the Sox this decade. But only three of their players in the Series previously played for a Series winner. These guys deserve it.

Congrats to Sox fans on the board.  Looking at this objectively the team is fun as hell to watch.  I wish the team I rooted for was that well managed.  Incredible season.

And poor Bob Geren.  He's been a coach on 3 of the last 4 losing World Series teams.  2015 Mets.  2017 Dodgers.  2018 Dodgers.

Greatest Red Sox team of all-time.  2004 always has a place in my heart but this team was just solid top to bottom.

I went to a random Angels-Blue Jays game this summer and Pearce had a really good game for the Blue Jays.  Little did I know he'd get traded to Boston shortly after and then to be World Series MVP, kinda funny.

I felt really sorry for the Dodgers when Sale came out in the 9th. I feel bad for Kershaw too.

The Red Sox were the better team but Dave Roberts could have managed a bit better.

Also, I think Drew Pomeranz died during the Series. Five games and not a single appearance.

Pearce is the first Boston player with a multi-HR World Series game since Rico Petrocelli in goddamn 1967.  Surprised that neither Ortiz or Manny ever had one.

Those poor, suffering 21 month olds can finally see a Boston championship.

Best record in Spring Training, best record in the regular season, and best record obviously in the post season. From the first pitch of their first game they dominated.

May be the best team since the 1998 New York Yankees (screw the Mariners, they didn't even make it to the World Series). Looked like the Dodgers could make a series of it after the extra inning affair but the Red Sox just shut them down in the late innings in Game 5.
