Giants continuing to unload as they sent Damon Harrison to Detroit for a 5th Round pick. Rumors that Janoris Jenkins is also on the block.

Bilal Powell was put on season-ending IR today after a neck injury suffered on Sunday.

I was bummed enough that he was out the year, and possibly done with the Jets since this is the last year of his contract, but it was revealed this afternoon that it could be a career-threatening injury. Damn. :(

Any time I hear the word "neck" I immediately fear that.

Always happy to see an AFC East team lose as it means an easier path for the Patriots. New year, same tune.

Will Fuller is out for the year with a Torn ACL.  That one hurts since he and Watson have such a great rapport.  Especially since the Texans look like the team to beat in the South right now.

Fun FiveThirtyEight piece on this Sunday's LA sports equinox. No mention of the Chargers missing out due to their bye week even. Ouch.

If one was Bortles, they might actually be improved.

Cleveland going 2-13-1 is a 15% improvement from last year.  That's respectable, right?

Cooper and Lynch were dragging the Raiders down. Their offense looks immeasurably more easy to execute.

I've lost count of how many times in the McCarthy era where we lost games right at the end because of completely boneheaded mental mistakes on defense or special teams.

What an idiotic decision by Montgomery there.  There is really no excuse for such a boneheaded play.  What a terrible way to lose a game.  Rodgers looked like was seething on the sidelines

Must be fire-your-coach week in Cleveland.  First Tyronn Lue, and now Hue Jackson.

The Browns should have a much better record this year than they do.  Just don't hire Haley.

Hue doubled his career win total in Cleveland this year!  Unfair.

I think I am going to apply for a job with the Cleveland Browns.

Quote
"Aaron was hot," one Packers coach said. "And he had a right to be. He yelled, 'Take a f------ knee!' He was very, very mad."

In the eyes of many of Rodgers' teammates, his ire was justifiable. According to more than a half-dozen Packers players and coaches who witnessed it, Montgomery had thrown a tantrum of his own on Green Bay's previous offensive series, becoming noticeably enraged on the sideline after being removed from the game. At least one player believed there was carryover from that incident to Montgomery's decision to disregard his coaches' instruction and return the kickoff.

"They took him out (the previous drive) for a play and he slammed his helmet and threw a fit," one Packers player said. "Then (before the kickoff) they told him to take a knee, and he ran it out anyway. You know what that was? That was him saying, 'I'm gonna do me.' It's a f------ joke.

"I mean, what the f--- are you doing? We've got Aaron Rodgers, the best I've ever seen, and you're gonna take that risk? I mean, it's '12'! All you gotta do is give him the ball, and you know what's gonna happen."

Al Saunders will be the interim HC. Kind of a waste of a season now as Hue should've been fired heading into this season IMO. Now the towel's basically been thrown in and Baker's gonna be stucking going from Hue/Haley scheme to an Al Saunders scheme to a new offense next year which could harm his development.

We could go 0-16 and still have another season to fail. Also, once you make it to the NFL, other teams will keep hiring you.

My offense would be almost completely copied from Sean McVay. His consistent jet sweep motions are the reason the Rams are 8-0 and I'm shocked nobody else has contrived a way to copy it.

Sean McVay is gonna be getting a lot of old guys fired which is great imo. Especially when seeing he gets his star player to buy into things and not immediately run it in for a touchdown and on the the other side a mediocre guy costs his team a chance to win the game and it looks like an old coach who has a super bowl win on his resume can no longer control his team... it just says it all to me.

Chiefs have also been incorporating a ton of Jet Sweep motions/plays and I think that's a large part behind Mahome's success.

Also now word is that Gregg Williams, not Al Saunders, will be the interim HC in Cleveland. Bonus points if he installs a Bounty program for the defense.

- NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the Lions' asking price would be "at least" a fourth-round pick in exchange for Golden Tate.
- Cowboys fired OL coach Paul Alexander. Marc Colombo has been named OL Coach and Hudson Houck has been hired as a Senior Assistant to help with the OL.

This game is making my soul cry.  The Bills offense is....something.

And what the fuck is with these HORRIBLE CGI animations, ESPN?  Have budget cuts limited them to software from 2007?

I never want to watch an ESPN produced MNF again.  Not as long as they are using graphic design sophomore class projects for their packages.
