NFL Week 11: Jets Fandom Leads to Drinking, News at 10
« on: November 14, 2018, 06:12:23 AM »

https://www.boston.com/sports/nfl/2018/11/14/christopher-greyshock-jets-fan-dui

Seems like quite the story here but we need a first hand account. Somebody corral BZ from his teacher's cave.

The other noteworthy news item is that the MNF game is moving from Mexico City to LA because the field is such a shit show that neither team wanted to play on it... which is saying something considering how some of the fields have been at proper NFL Stadiums.

They will be going from the dog shit field of Mexico to LA where it’s still uncertain about the air quality.   Rams requested to play the game in Denver (they are currently training in Colorado Springs) but was denied.

So the Steelers raided Bell's locker and basically auctioned off his stuff. No one's indicating that they tried getting his stuff back to him. So...

...um, isn't that theft? Do we need to change the Steelers name to Stealers?

Unless there's some clause in his contract that says leaving your property on our property for X days is considered forfeiture of said property.

I know at my job if you leave your shit in your locker after being shit canned, and don't return our stuff (manuals, intellectual property, access keys) we throw your shit out. Not my rule and I'm low enough on the totem pole to never have to be the guy deciding to throw it out.

He abandoned all that crap there so it's considered garbage/dumping. If he wanted it he should have taken it with him at the end of the season. Pretty sure the Steelers have more important things to do than worry about a guy's dirty shoes and trash he left in a locker a year ago.

Oh hey, look at that!  A blown fourth quarter lead turned into a loss due in large part to pussy coaching decisions.  Never seen that before!

This part of the season is the drizzling shits for looking at records because very few actually pop out at you as impressive. So many teams hovering around .500 plus or minus 1-2 games.

Then you have the Saints (yay), Panthers (boo hiss), Texans, Rams, Washington, Steelers, Broncos, Bears, Chargers, Chiefs, and Patriots with 2+ games over .500 and that's it. That's literally only 5 NFC teams and 6 AFC teams. That's not even enough for a full playoff field.

The cream will start rising to the top in the next few weeks, obviously. Just logging into NFL.com a bit ago and seeing all the records was sort of demoralizing. Or if you're a fan of parity, orgasmic.

Certain teams always seem like they are viewed as better teams than they really are. Green Bay and Seattle fit that bill. Both are slightly above mediocre. At times both can make big splash plays on offense and defense. Then the next play get utterly abused. Both teams need to strip it down and start over. Mostly new personnel and all new coaching.

Packers season continues to spiral as San Diego Union Tribune's David Chao expects Jimmy Graham (thumb) to miss 4-6 weeks & could miss the rest of the year if he gets surgery. Lance Kendricks would likely replace him.

Well the Browns have tried football coaches and they haven't worked, so why not try something out of the box.

Edit: Fake news

How the fuck is Jacksonville about to blow this game?

The AFC is goddamn trash outside of KC this year.

That loser Gruden celebrating after Oakland barely beat a terrible Arizona team is pathetic. I feel sorry for anyone subjected to watching that team.

Also, remember when the Eagles won the Super Bowl not even a year ago?

People in this area complaining that the game was boring need to STFU. The only time you should complain a game is boring is if you don't have a rooting interest. Home team just whipped the shit out of the defending champs. You enjoy every minute of that.

These definitely feel like two of the best teams in the league, especially the offenses.  The gap between KC and the rest of the AFC is gigantic.

Good on LA for packing the place on short notice, too.  This is a great atmosphere.

Holy shit what a play on that pick six.

This might be the best game I've seen since the Pats/Seahawks Super Bowl.  105 points and it still feels like the defenses have made plays.

And defense seals it for LA.  Great fucking game.

The FUCK is LA doing?  Run Gurley you morons.
