NFL Week 14: NFC Wild Card Pandemonium
« on: December 04, 2018, 01:53:12 AM »

Carolina Making Moves
Defensive line coach Brady Hoke and corners coach Jeff Imamura have been let go, Tom Pelissero tweets. Head coach Ron Rivera will handle the defensive play calling duties moving forward, Eric Washington will oversee the defensive front seven, Sam Mills III will coach the defensive line, and Rivera will assistant Richard Rogers in the secondary.

Also lots of NFC Teams still in the thick of the Wild Card hunt including: Philadelphia, Washington, Minnesota, Carolina, and Seattle. Tampa Bay is on the outside looking in same for Green Bay. Detroit and Atlanta would have to win out to try and have a shot.

Benjamin was bad but to be cut by this team says it all.

Not too surprised there. Zay Jones seemed to be the developing #1 receiver on the team (and has more upside than Benjamin/Holmes) while Robert Foster seemed to be gradually building his case as a WR2/Burner option by being 3rd on the team in receiving yards despite just 8 catches.

Winston Moss got fired, longtime Packers assistant coach in part due to a tweet he sent out calling out Aaron Rodgers and how he should get coached hard.

Been saying it for awhile.   Dalton to Redskins.    Reuniting him with Jay Gruden.  Dalton has a friendly deal, Gruden is comfortable with him and Dalton as well as the Bengals need a fresh start.

I can't figure out if the Packers are going to come out flat after this crazy week, or with guns a blazing.

Philbin calling plays after admitting he hasn't done so in 2 decades doesn't sound promising.

Here's to hoping for a high draft pick.

At this point I just hope Alex Smith can have a semblance of a normal life later, nevermind any NFL Career.

Pretty Horrible call to start the game as Julio has a pass ripped out of his hand called a catch - then a review confirms the CATCH! Bleh.

Julio's next "catch" is out of bounds and called a catch.  Philbin out of reviews 90 seconds into this game.

So does Aaron Jones need to prove himself to Joe Philbin, too? Asking for my fantasy team...

Washington is getting the full Sanchise Experience.

Meanwhile in Miami it's two really shitty defenses and Tannehill getting injured by his own lineman.

Josh Allen up to 99 yards rushing today so far.   333 yards in the last 3 games, breaking Michael Vick's record (of 294) for most rushing yards by a QB over a 3 game span.

Miami curse continues for Pats.  One of those unexplainable things in sports that they can't win there

Shitting yourself at the end of the first half, your kicker fucking up twice and your defense being a trash fire is how you can't win there.

Gronk looks like he's aged like 15 years in the last 5.

Gronk shouldn't have been on the field on the last play. He had no idea how to tackle Drake or where Drake would be running.

It was a 69 yard play so maybe Gronk just decided to run onto the field because it was his destiny?

It was a terrible loss but it's just another example that the Pats are not going anywhere this season with that defense.  They've got torched by illuminaries like Blake Bortles, Marcus Mariota and Ryan Tannehill with one good leg.

That would be the 31-0 opening week drubbing to Buffalo after he traded Lawyer Milloy.

Good. The trades he made were necessary to help rebuild the team, but the roster decisions and draft picks prior to those trades caused the Raiders to have to get rid of those players.

Coaches be coaching: "Since Jackson and Haley were fired, Mayfield has completed 73.2 percent of his passes, averaged 9.2 yards per pass, thrown 11 touchdown passes and four interceptions, has a 114.5 passer rating, and has been sacked three times."

They should just dump the last NFC Wild Card this year and give the 3 Seed a bye.

Even Dalton performs a little bit better than that and is worth way less.

Cousins is overpaid but he's still sitting at a 6-6 record. Fun Facts? He's completing 70% of his passes, has a lower INT rate & higher YPG than last year in Washington, but his YPC has plummeted to just 10 yards.

Hard to blame him as the Vikings have no running game and their Points Allowed has plummeted to 11th but "You Like That?" gotta get that Steve Young monkey and slam the sumbitch to the ground sometime.

At least he's still healthy?

I assume John DeFilippo is on his way back to the Eagles to help Wentz again.
