Draft has been finalized on yahoo!

21st roster spot time!

Free Agents come off Waivers on Monday March 11th

I temporarily have acquisitions per week set to 6. This is to get us through to the end of week one with the next few few weeks of preseason. At the end of the Week 1, I will bump it back down to 3 per week. Waiver time is set at 2 days.

Waiver Priority List: As stated earlier, it will be the reverse of last years end of season standings (essentially your draft slot number). New teams slot in where their, draft slot put them in the order. Also stated before, 12 hour draft delays will be bumped to the rear. Punctuality is rewarded around here fellas.

After the initial post-draft waiver priority claims clear, I will once again reset the waiver list back to this order. From then on the list will just be a rolling list.

Waiver Priority
1. Dirt
2. JMorr
3. Scooter
4. DCBild
5. Treble
6. Will
7. Chewbie
8. Krankor
9. Shumway
10. Steak
11. 909 [1 delay]
12. Thrasher [2 delays]
13. Harley [2 delays]
14. OG [2 delays]
15. Flik [3 delays]
16. Linx [3 delays]

Reminders:
Daily Roster changes this season.
26 inning pitched minimum requirement per week.
You have 3 DL & 3 NA spots.

Also, be wary of using the "Start Active Players" button. While convenient, it typically does not put your best players into the lineup.

Week 1 runs from a few games played in Japan on March 20th and end April 7th.

Use your acquisitions wisely.

Worth echoing. I've found it's a good convenience to hit initially and then simply go day by day after to spot check any situations.

My pitching has been a nightmare and of course the guy I pick to backup my C position for depth immediately ruins his body and goes on the DL, ugh.

I like the switch for weekly to daily lineup moves so far.

I think 3 moves per week feels right also. It makes you have to at least give thought before making a free agent move.

One annoyance I have found is sometimes having to wait until the next day to make a move if a player involved in a transaction has already started their game for the day.

Agreed. I've made a few pick ups less so for the "week" itself but looking forward a little bit but it's been nice to be able to slot the pick up the next day/that day and get some production rather than being forced to wait or endure the suck of a guy I want off my team.

It was a good week and a half with a healthy Stanton on my team.

I always consider July 1st the shit or get off the pot time in the season. By then teams pretty much know what they got, what they need for this year or next year. Remember 1st through 6th make the championship bracket, 7th through 12th make the consolation bracket where 1st overall pick is up for grabs. 13th through 16th get to watch from the basement. Ya can't get out of the basement without selling some over-priced assests for some building blocks for next year.

So with that here's my trade block! I'm in search of quality high price veteran starting pitching and some outfield help. If you're trying to build for next year here are some damn good options listed on my block. I've got a pile of good rookie SPs and corner infielders.

Trade Block w/ 2020 keeper prices
Giancarlo Stanton OF - 1y10
Michael Chavis 1b/2b/3b - 20y1
Hunter Dozier 1b/3b - 20y1
Dan Vogelbach 1b - 20y1
Paul DeJong SS - 14y1
Chris Paddack SP - 20y1
Zac Gallen SP - 20y1
Adbert Alzolay SP - 20y1

Yes that's right Stanton on the block! I had pretty much already planned on tossing him up there at the beginning of the season to see what people were willing to give for him. I've pretty much had him since midway through his rookie year in 2010. Back in the MIKE Stanton days.

Trade #10

Krankor receives Jonathon Niese SP, Mike Stanton OF, and Desmond Jennings OF

Brooklyn Zoo receives Joe Mauer C, Coco Crisp OF, and Felipe Paulino SP

That 2010 thread was aweome. Constant analysis of every move dudes made. There was a Robinson Cano trade that caught all sorts of heat.

Also my god, we are only at 1 trade so far for the year. In that 2010 thread at June 27th, we were already at trade #7 that was embroiled in heated debate. We maxed out at 22 trades that year. Craziness!

I've only talked to one person this entire year for trades in this league. Just think no one wants to make any deals.

I'd make them, but I can't get enough value back to do them, myself.

I think I've probably sent trade proposals at some point in the last month to about half the teams in the league. Yours included Flik. Not all proposals come with board messages. So when they just lay there on yahoo and fester for 3 or 4 days I just cancel them and move on with life.

I've just noticed the past few years, not always, but a lot of the time I have to grossly overpay in a trade to get something done. And probably 90% of the time I have to initiate all trades in the first place.

If I remember correctly, you wanted a guy who I overpaid for so it seems (looking at said player production). I also don't check in on the dime daily because my pitching, every year, sucks so badly it drags the rest of my team down.

And frankly right now, the only way I probably move on anyone is via picks. Because nothing is going to help me this year.

Though, I agree. Last few years no one really is looking to make trades. I literally say if you'd like to make a trade, talk to me, because you'll have an easier time making a trade that way with me. Just sending a trade offer to me usually gets me to look at the trade, take it at face value and if I happen to not like it at the time, I'll just flat out reject it.
