Think there is a Lucha Underground thread somewhere but seeing people may not look at it, this seems pretty thread worthy

With added competition at every corner, I think they really need to re-consider a 5th season. Why bother really? I enjoyed the last stuff enough I guess, but it felt like LU has ruined whatever niche they had in the wrestling marketplace. With more added companies like MLW and AEW gaining momentum especially, I am wondering what is the point to keep going for them. At this point they must not have that many talent under a holding contract either, so its all around silly to keep this money loss going.

The cliffhanger of the last ep of LU was certainly interesting as they arced the multi-season story of the mystery benefactor/money man (which ended up being Wade Barrett of all people) and the push of Jack Swagger as the champion and his sidekick, but that isn't enough to hook me to give a fuck to keep this stuff going on El-Rey.

At this point, they are absolutely fucking over talent keeping them from seeking out excellent deals with a variety of other companies desperate to get their rosters solidified to compete with others. I would almost wonder if there is a lawsuit that could be implimented here.

Color me surprised that a television show using television contracts would fuck over independent contractors who don't get paid for not working.
Maybe the real deep state was the friends we made along the way.

This is probably a really stupid question, but technically do the LU talent get SAG benefits of any kind?
