Players be getting that BLING. Patricia already starting to bring in ex-Patriots defensive players to retool the defense.

- Bengals re-signed TE C.J. Uzomah to a three-year, $18 million contract.
- Lions agreed to terms with DE Trey Flowers, formerly of the Patriots, on a five-year contract worth an estimated $80-$85 Million. Lions agreed to terms with CB Justin Coleman, formerly of the Seahawks, on a four-year, $36 million contract.
- Redskins agreed to terms with S Landon Collins, formerly of the Giants, on a six-year, $84 million contract. Includes $45 Million guaranteed.
- 49ers agreed to terms with LB Kwon Alexander, formerly of the Bucs, on a four-year, $54 million contract with $27 Million guaranteed.
- Bills signed CB Kevin Johnson, formerly of the Texans.

I just want to say I wasn't really being serious about the Raiders being a total dumpster fire.  I was just poking fun.  I do think they are in a good position to make a big move up the standings provided they don't blow these draft choices.  I love their signing of Trent Brown.

If they bomb on all the draft picks they're going to be terrible for five-six years though. So it's a fair comment. I don't understand how a team could blow four top 35 picks, but they could.

It would be really bad to miss on all of them.  Surely they can at least hit on two of the four.

I think they have to hit on all four considering some of the free agent holes they needed to fill are already signed by other teams.

This is good though. I don't think players are fully recovered from an ACL tear for around two years, and he had his in 2017, so he should be really back next season.

Giants get the Browns' 1st round pick (#17), a 3rd round pick, and Jabril Peppers. Great haul, I think.

Mostly, but part of it was the difference in their ages.  Brown is the wrong side of 30.  Even without the Steelers issues Brown would have been worth less than ODB.

well Gettleman has to draft a qb now, right?  38 year old QB with a team that is tanking/rebuilding?  Makes no sense

Giants have basically been terrible since the 2011 championship.  It was the right time to blow it up.  I'm willing to wait

Cautiously psyched for Le'Veon on the Jets. It's totally worth the risk to spend the money on him now during Darnold's rookie contract--and they seem to have gotten him cheaper than the projected price tag anyway. I can't imagine he'll have the stats/level of play he had in Pittsburgh, mostly due to a lesser OLine, but surrounding Darnold with his type of talent and skillset is essential.

The Jets got him for cheaper than than the 5 Year/$70 million deal the Steelers offered him last off-season.  So Bell's decision to turn that down last year backfired unless he really wanted out of Pittsburgh.

Patriots starting to lose more players to other teams as well. Gonna make the NFL Draft/offseason pretty interesting.

- Patriots agreed to terms with RB Brandon Bolden, formerly of the Dolphins, on a two-year contract. Bolden's back as a core STer.
- Dolphins signed CB Eric Rowe, formerly of the Patriots, to a one-year contract. Can play outside or slot and gives Flores a DB who knows the system.
- Bucs agreed to terms with WR Breshad Perriman, formerly of the Browns, on a one-year, $4 million contract. A prove it deal after moderate success last year, Perriman's always been a guy who's flashed but never quite put it all together.
- Titans agreed to terms with OLB Cameron Wake, formerly of the Dolphins, on a three-year, $23 million contract. Pretty solid get, despite the age, for the Titans who badly needed pass rushing help.
- Bears agree to terms with WR Cordarrelle Patterson, formerly of the Patriots, on a two-year, $10 million contract.

49ers acquired OLB Dee Ford from the Chiefs in exchange for a 2020 second-round pick. Ford subsequently has signed a 5 year deal with San Francisco.

I think he just wanted out. At some point, you just don't give a damn about how you get how, you just do want out.

- Patriots re-signed CB Jason McCourty to a 2 year deal.
- Ravens agreed to terms with RB Mark Ingram, formerly of the Saints, on a three-year, $15 million contract.
- Ravens agreed to terms with FS Earl Thomas, formerly of the Seahawks, on a four-year, $55 million contract.
- Chargers signed QB Tyrod Taylor to backup Philip Rivers.

Patriots get a potential competitor for the slot WR role in a 1 year deal for Bruce Ellington. He's played under O'Brien in Houston then Patricia in Detroit so he could find playing time pretty quickly.

Panthers also released OT Matt Kalil. Will be interesting to see what the market is for him and if he tries to land back with Minnesota.

Also a lot of players signing 1 year "prove it" deals with new teams.

- Saints signed DT Malcom Brown, formerly of the Patriots, to a three-year, $15 million contract.
- 49ers signed CB Jason Verrett, formerly of the Chargers, to a one-year, $3.6 million contract.
- Bears signed S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, formerly of the Bears, to a one-year contract.

Patriots signed a couple ex-Jets in S Terrence Brooks (slotted for a ST role) and DT Mike Pennel (rotational DT big body run stopper type). They also signed WR Maurice Harris who had 28 catches for Washington last year and TE Matt LaCosse who had 24 catches last year but should serve more as an in-line blocker.

New England continues to lack the 'splash' of other teams but are quietly filling roles and spots on the roster prior to the NFL Draft.

Tannehill gets traded to the Titans.

Titans acquired QB Ryan Tannehill and a 2019 sixth-round pick from the Dolphins in exchange for a fourth-round pick in 2020 and a seventh-round pick in 2019. Titans are also giving Tannehill a 1 year deal worth $7 Million to backup Marcus Mariota.
