Won’t lie, very casual Nats fan but followed them from Montreal. This is surreal.

Hinch yanking Greinke when he was dealing and not using Cole at all was Grady Little tier playoff management.

6th straight year the winner clinches on the road.  Last home clincher was Boston in 2013.

Bryce Harper was a cancer?

I feel like I'm the only person on earth sympathetic to Bryce Harper. I mean, I'm not a big baseball fan but, TTBOMK, the only thing he did "wrong" was want the bag.

That kid's gotta delete his social media, right? He's gotta be getting roasted from every direction right now.

Amazing how many runners the Astros have left on base this series and in the post season in general. That usually comes back to haunt you

It fuckng haunted them all right.

Congrats to the Nats. Well the Mets are fucked in the division for a good while. Braves are loaded with young talent, Nats are champs, Phils have Girardi.  Oh well ...

Obviously I'm sympathetic to Bryce Harper. Teams are bigger than one player. Last year the Nats were so banged up that they used Harper a third of the season in center field, and that didn't work. This year they lost Harper but they added Patrick Corbin, got a full season from Juan Soto and had Victor Robles emerge as an every day player. I don't think it reflects badly on Harper as much as it reflects well on the current personnel of the Nationals.

It's amazing in retrospect. In the last sixteen years historic droughts have been ended by the Red Sox (86 years), White Sox (88 years), SF Giants (56 years and first for the city), Cubs (108 years), Astros (55 years to get their first) and now the Nationals (50 years for their first and Washington's first since 1924). All these sacred cows of hardship are dead and only the Indians are left standing. We're a season away from holding up Milwaukee and Dallas/Fort Worth as the patron saints of suffering.
