Vlade was extended by the Kings, and his first move is reportedly to fire Dave Joerger and GM Brandon Williams.  Luke is reportedly the front runner for the coaching job if the Lakers let him go.

So he actually went through with the firing. Interesting.

Also, wait, the Lakers are still considering firing Luke? I thought with Magic out Luke was going to be staying. What the fuck is going on in LA?

They have to hire someone before firing Luke. I expect that person will be given total control to do what they want.

CAN BE BOTH PRESIDENT AND COACH

Also, with them not paying Hoiberg much next season due to him signing with Nebraska, I'd love for the Bulls to pickup Joerger. But, they'll probably stick with Coach egghead because they love how he is during practices or some bullshit.

I would be super pissed, but they're trying to hire Bob Myers. Myers went to UCLA too and played a major part in their coaching search. Meanwhile...

Not surprising though. If John Paxson was a coach in the NBA, he'd probably be just like Boylen. And Boylen's a total kissass to the front office.

Yeah, Lavar tried to make his son do something he shouldn't have done. It seems like Lonzo has since disowned him.

The Dapmaster exercising that player option is, by far, the least surprising thing contract related that was going to happen this offseason. I mean, it's not like there was any other team in the league that was going to offer him $19M.

Miles must think he's done, if he opted in for $8M, to stay in Memphis.

I hadn't been a big Joeger fan but feel he got screwed with Kings really overachieving, in my opinion, this past year.

Supposedly all the other candidates for the Kings job have been notified they are pursuing Luke Walton and their candidacy will only resume should Luke turn down the job.

Luke Walton is coaching the Kings next season.

I'm not sure that's much of an upgrade over Joerger because I too think he got screwed.

It's a big downgrade. Luke Walton is a terrible basketball coach, you guys should search out things he said about his mindset towards basketball. He said he didn't install an offense with the Lakers because he didn't think they had time.

If you guys watched the Lakers when he was sending Rondo and Lonzo out there at the same time, you would understand. Who of those two guards is supposed to score?

He made some mistakes when the cap exploded and he signed too many guys to dumb contracts in the wake of that, but I would be elated with this.

Supposedly their rational is they think they can get Monty Williams if he finishes runner up to the Lakers job.  I don’t know whey any player or coach would come to this franchise unless there was no other choice.  They’ve become what the Clippers were for decades.

Good. Please make it official. We need a coach who knows X's and O's and not some rapist fuckboy who proceeded to hire all his inexperienced friends as assistants when he only got the job because he was a former Laker. Of course Lue was also a former Laker but I think that is literally irrelevant in this case.

Lue and his representatives turned down the Lakers' offer Tuesday, league sources said. The Lakers then on Wednesday offered Lue a deal in the range of three years and $18 million, after which Lue's side pulled out of negotiations.

that url is misleading but I'm shocked, it was assumed by everyone that a deal would get done.

Jason Kidd's the next head coach! I'm calling it.

Bucks are up 76-60 at the time I'm writing this with Giannis only having 12 points. Yeah, I think this series is now officially over.

I know this is Steven A. Smith and he's a blow hard, but this is being confirmed more and more as a real thing. Apparently Lakers are honestly considering trading LeBron after Lue walked away from the table.

I have to ask, is there anyone who would be willing to trade for LeBron for anything more than a future 2nd rounder? Because that's about all I see the Lakers being able to get.

That's the most retarded thing I ever read.

And they aren't trading LeBron, it's typical Screamin A shitstirring. People need to realize that his show is entertainment like WWE and not meant to be taken seriously.

I had seen quite a few of the talk places having it on, so I figured it wasn't just Stephen being a blow hard. Also I think it was First Things First that had a source tell ... oh what's the guy's name, I wanna say Nick, but I'm so bad with names... Anyways, he said that a source told him that this was a legit thing that the the Rambises (I'm terrible with names, sorry) talked to Jeanne to legitimately consider it. I used Stephen because I couldn't find.

Assume you trade for LeBron after this year has happened. He's coming off a year in which he's had injury problems, had his agent (and probably him) try to orchestrate a trade that alienates a good portion of the locker room and just doesn't play defense. He's also 34 and his contract is like what, 34m a season? I mean, I don't know about you, but even if LeBron James is LeBron James, which team is going to look at all that this season and willing give up what's appropriate for a player of his possible talents. I say possible because he's still recovering from an injury which could've aged him because after like what, nearly 15+ years in the league, this is probably stuff that starts sapping him of his immense talents.

I just don't see the Lakers getting a fair value deal for LeBron, because most would point out the issues I mentioned to not give market value.  I made a mistake this morning instead of explaining my thoughts out, just gave the end result. I'm sorry. I don't honestly think LeBron is only worth that, I just see everyone going "hey, we can get LeBron for biscuits" if the Lakers were considering trading him because of all that.
