Good for Mitchell Robinson. He was fantastic on defense.

I’ll be damned, I actually have no issue with these teams.  Only thing I *might* do is flip Jokic and Embiid around, but I think all the players are right.  Biggest story here is that Kemba’s selection makes him eligible for the supermax.

Embiid missed 18 games this year. Totally fine with Jokic taking that spot.

I don't. Towns is wild overrated. Look at his career, outside of the one season that Jimmy Butler carried his ass to the playoffs. That guy is everything that DeMarcus Cousins' harshest critics swear that Cousins is, minus the "attitude problems."

I'm not sure; the guy is an automatic double-double, shoots high percentages, never misses games, and ranks high in several advanced metrics, if that's your sort of thing.  Put Embiid on his teams and you could say the same thing except subtract the 20+ games he misses every year.

He puts up numbers, but those numbers are completely empty. He's also soft, not clutch, doesn't make his teammates better and, aside from the aforementioned season where he was carried by Butler, has never sniffed a winning season. Like I said, he's everything Cousins' critics have convinced themselves that Cousins is. He's just not as polarizing.

You know who actually got hosed? Vucevic.

I still think all the right players are there but if I had to pick one guy and say he got snubbed, I think it’s Bradley Beal.

I'd take Westbrook out and put Beal in.

So he’s pretty much Andre Drummond.

If Drummond could hit free throws, I guess.

He’s actually gone from high 30s as an average to about 60% the last couple seasons.

I remember that Drummond was shooting threes at the beginning of the season. How did that experiment pan out?

He’s better from half court than twenty feet away. For whatever reason he’s nailed a few from there.

I'm just glad Blake Griffin made the 3rd team; dude played his ass off. Didn't result in much team wise, but still.

Coach Bud becomes the ninth coach to win multiple COTY awards.  The only ones to win the award in both conferences are Don Nelson, Pat Riley, and Hubie Brown (!)

Lou joins Jamal Crawford as the only three-time winners of the award

Surprisingly lopsided result.  I'm interested to see which voter left Trae Young entirely off of their ballot.  Anyway, Doncic is the first European to win ROTY since Pau Gasol in 2002.

And the big one

Giannis is the first player to win both the Most Improved and Most Valuable Player awards.  Another one that I thought would be a bit closer, but surprising that he and Harden swept every 1st and 2nd-place vote, and no one threw Paul George a bone there.

Check out Kennegh Lau's All-NBA teams

1st: Giannis, Durant, Embiid, Curry, Harden
2nd: Danilo Gallinari, Luka Doncic, Andre Drummond, Klay Thompson, Dwyane Wade
3rd: Marvin Bagley III, Pascal Siakam, Rudy Gobert, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell

This has to be a troll ballot

How is it that nine coaches have been multiple-time COY, and only three of them have actually won championships? With only one of them winning a championship in the actual year they were named COY, at that?

I think part of it is that it is a regular season award. It seems like once a coach wins an NBA Championship that they can't win a COY either.
