Pats signed Mike Nugent.

Gostkowski is having surgery on his left hip.  It was clear something was wrong based on the way he was missing chip shots, but he was still 7-8 from FG.  I guess the short lead up on EP was tougher on the bum hip.

IIRC he'd been pushing a lot of his kicks towards the right side (so you don't have to torque the left hip as much), probably to minimize the pain and compensate, so that could explain it as well.

The Thursday game was pretty good stuff, including a crazy interception by Tedric Thompson to help clinch the win for Seattle.

Need this one. 4-1 going into the bye would be huge especially coming back to 3 home games in a row.

10 games at 1:00 with only 2 games at 4:00 is absolutely fucking stupid scheduling

The Patriots offense looks abysmal and it starts with the offensive line being horrible.

It feels like half the coaches in the league are on the cusp of being fired.  There's no way Dan Quinn stays in Atlanta if this keeps up.

That was the worst flag I've ever seen in the 4th quarter of the Dallas game.  How can you call roughing the passer when he's not passing?

Still a big win as our recent dominance over Dallas continues.  That combined with a Bears loss makes this a good day.

The Chiefs are about to go down to an injury-ravaged Colts team.

Make any offense one dimensional and you have a shot at stopping them.  Mahomes can't do everything.

I think they'd probably have a better chance if Gruden was still around, actually.

Honestly that team is so dysfunctional that it doesn't really matter, I think. Miami will get a win there just because of the fact.

...and that says something that Miami is a more functional team than Washington.

Browns are getting exposed as a fraud. Matt Breida is too much for them to handle.

Raiders just traded a 2021 5th for Zay Jones. This is a great trade. No receiver in the entire world would look good with Josh Allen overthrowing them all the time. The other week he was targeted 8 times and had two catches.

I'm fully aware that some of those were drops, but again, Josh Allen can't throw accurately.

Baker flopping around in panic. Fumbling everywhere. Just give Chubb the ball every play.

He's been poorly developed. Dude went from super confident to a guy who no longer stays in the pocket ever.

Have fun with that.   Zay doesn't belong on an NFL roster.  That's why he was immediately surpassed by a guy who came off the PS on Friday (who somehow managed to catch all 4 of his targets despite Josh Allen overthrowing him all the time)

Look at our receivers and he definitely, definitely belongs on an NFL roster.

When everyone is healthy, he's the WR #4 there, assuming they keep the routes simple enough for him.   If Zay wasn't still on his rookie deal, he was getting cut this offseason, so I'm happy for the Bills to get anything for him.

Good move for both Buffalo and the Raiders. Zay kind of had bloated college numbers that got him drafted higher than he should have been. He's not a WR1. So maybe next to Tyrell Williams he can get some more breathing room. I'm not sold that he will, but a 5th round pick isn't a major investment. If Zay sucks on the Raiders than I expect that to be it for him in the NFL.

Bills getting a draft pick for a bust that's nearly lost all his value is a great move. Gotta know when to cut bait.

We also have the two TE set with Waller and Moreau where both guys have the capability to draw defenders and make big catches. So, Zay should be open basically all the time. If he sucks, he sucks, but this is a pretty good spot for him to make a career for himself.

Kittle seems to have taken the beastly TE mantle from Gronk nicely.  The NFC West is going to be a bloodbath.

The Browns are a goddamn mess and their schedule isn't getting easier.

This game tonight was example A of why a team shouldn't tank. If you have a moron coaching the QB it doesn't matter how much talent the QB has. They will be ruined.

If you're fucked up enough to tank, you're gonna hire a moron

The Browns should have gotten an experienced head coach like Marvin Lewis.

Barkley out for the Giants Thurs against Pats.  Sterling Shephard as well. So they won't have their number one rb and number one receiver. Oh yeah Engram out so no starting te. And the back up rb is hurt as well.

Pats should sit Brady. They'll still win by 35+

The more I see of the new Bengals, the more Marvin Lewis goes up in my estimation.
