Gordon Hayward has hairline fracture of his left hand.

If he didn't have bad luck, he wouldn't have any at all. At least, it sounds like he'll just be out a month or so and not a whole season.

Suspended 10 games by the Heat.  Riles ain't taking no shit.  The league apparently wasn't going to suspend him and just make him enter some kind of program

Honestly, you'd think the league would step in and get rid of Dolan considering how much damage the guy has done... Except the Knicks are still making money despite themselves, so I guess that's why not.

So were the Clippers, technically, and they managed to run Sterling out of the paint... Maybe we need Dolan's mistress to get him on the hook saying racist shit about Oak? Is New York a one-party consent state?

The NBA has no power to get rid of Dolan because he can kick the Knicks out of Madison Square Garden. Confused as to why people don't understand this. Donald Sterling didn't own the building the Clippers played in, so it was easy to tell him to fuck off. The NBA tells Dolan to fuck off and he can boot them out of Manhattan, out of the most famous arena in the country, with no power to ever go back there. The Knicks wouldn't even be the fucking Knicks anymore.

He also owns the Rangers and can hold countless events there, so it's not like the joint would be empty.

It's also hard to pin the current state of the Knicks on him. He did what people wanted and hired the shitty coach that the fans wanted, but Fizdale is a shitty coach, and no iteration of the Knicks could ever win with him on the bench. This dude would probably play games with Patrick Ewing's minutes if he was the coach back then.

No, it's his fault.  20 years of constant bullshit under his watch.  If he hadn't let things get so bad we wouldn't be where we are now.  He's the constant.

A lot of Knicks fans wanted Budenholzer.  I was fine with the hire, but watching him in practice he's been p terrible

Didn't realize Andrew Wiggins is finally starting to show his potential this season after looking like a disappointment the last few seasons. Way way way early into the season, but career highs in points, rebounds, blocks, assists, and 3 point shooting. Cool to see him start to put it together after a few rough seasons.

Looks like the end of the road for Pau.  Easy HOF'er in my book.  All-Star caliber numbers for a solid 15 years and a two-time champion.  If that Lakers trade never happened, who knows what the ripple effect could have been for that franchise as well as Kobe's legacy.

If Pau still wants to play, I wouldn't mind having him as an extra big on the bench for the Celtics. He could definitely bring VETERAN LEADERSHIP AND EUROSWAG! Plus Boston has a GREAT SYMPHONY and he could probably watch LOTS OF OPERA!

Edit: I didn't read the FOOT INJURY PART! WHOOPS!

Pau's a HOFer even without his accomplishments overseas and in the Olympics. With those included he's a slam dunk choice. His defense could be frustrating, but I really liked him in his short tenure with the Bulls and he seems like a great person.

I would guess his Euro career (in addition to the NBA career, which I think is borderliner HOF worthy on its own) gets him in the Hall of Fame on first ballot.

Definite first ballot IMO

Also one of the rare euro bigs to come into the NBA in that timeframe (late 90's-early 2000's) who was really good right off the bat.  He would have made a lot more all-star teams if he wasn't in that stacked at PF Western conference during the Memphis years with guys like KG, Duncan, Webber, Dirk, Brand and even Malone still for a few years

Sorry to turn this into the What If? thread for a minute but how crazy would it'd have been if Memphis had gotten the #1 draft pick in '03?

Obviously, no way LeBron wouldn't have left Memphis first chance he got. But Pau, Mike Miller, and Shane Battier is a hell of a lot better core than what he had to work with during his first run in Cleveland. On the other hand, '00s West was a lot tougher than the '00s East so he might have had same amount of (lack of) success.

Melo walked into Denver and took em to the playoffs as a rookie and every year subsequent.  They had a similar talent level to Memphis. Maybe better when Camby was healthy.

The '03-'04 Memphis Grizzlies already made the playoffs. If you add baby LeBron to them, then maybe they move from a 6 seed to a 3-5 seed. I forgot White Chocolate was on there too. They could've won a 'ship by '06/'07.

Kemba Walker ran headfirst into Semi Ojeleye. He was carried off on a stretcher and it looks like a broken neck. I've never seen an injury like this in basketball.
