2019 NFL Week 10: Dean Spanos says NO to London
« on: November 05, 2019, 08:57:47 PM »
Dean Spanos gave an emphatic we're f'n staying in Los Angeles when asked about the Chargers actually moving to London. Also Nick Foles is back, will start, and thus ends the MINSHEW STACHE ERA. Mourn in this thread.

And 909/KOAB get their heated ANGER going on Thursday Night Football.

Browns are currently slight favorites against the Bills and sadly I agree. The run defense is terrible and the offense is pedestrian at best so I won't be shocked at all if they lose.

Browns will figure out some way to lose. Fat face Freddie Kitchens will make sure of it.

There is no way the Bills are losing to Cleveland, none.

If the Bills lose to Cleveland, they should be eliminated from post season contention.

Man.  I would loved to see Lamar in the playoffs but guess not, rules are rules.

Trubisky is a bust at this point. Dude, instead of worrying about TVs and the rightful criticisms that get slung your way, get some wins.

He's as soft as a pillow. We can't have that in this town. Just another reason why he has to get the big boot.

The current speculation that people have started...

The Panthers could cut or trade Cam Newton in the off season to save money. The drum for Cam to Chicago is getting beaten loudly. People are also saying Carolina could be a landing spot for Trubisky since he played college ball at UNC. Why they would want Trubisky with Kyle Allen & Will Grier I don't know.

I would be fine with that if its like a Newton for Trubisky & Kyle Long type move. I really wouldn't want to give up any further draft captial though.

I personally think Cam is done. A worn out Cam is better than a pitiful, scared Trubisky.

might as well ban trtsm too

I wanted to mock this but the more I think about it if he's telling them to shut off hot takes garbage shows then I actually agree with it.

If not for offside penalties he threw five picks and a few more that were dropped.

Bell was the only guy who got cut. The rest of these guys are great. You talk about how a team goes from a 4 win team to a possible playoff team, a major part of it is the way that everyone fits into the offense, but hitting on all your draft picks is an even bigger part.

If the Bears let the Jeff Driskel led Lions defeat them, at home, then heads should roll.

C'mon, in true Bengals fashion, they may take the wrong QB if they are lots of choices at the top.

Jamal Adams plowing through Saquon, snatching the ball from Daniel Jones, and running in for the TD is something.

Baltimore is the best team in the AFC and it isn't close.  The other contenders have massive flaws (like KC's defense and NE's offense)

Like what did the Bills show this year to prove they were above losses like this? Would it shock anyone if they lost to Miami next week?

Hauschka is the easy scapegoat for that loss, but how the fuck do you run Singletary EIGHT times against one of the worst rush defenses in the league and let Josh throw it 41 times?

It was more of how much of a joke Cleveland is than how good Buffalo was.

Bills are definitely not making the playoffs judging from their schedule. They have a few easy games left but the other teams have more.

That game helped to make our road easier.

What's the fucking point of making PI reviewable if it never gets overturned/it isn't even looked at?

So what rule do I not understand?  The Packers held the Panthers short on the last play of the game, it was called short, not a TD, and yet it got a review?????

NFC east winner is probably going to a 9/10 win team this year. Eagles and .cowboys have really not been that impressive

Yep. This reminds me of 2011 where they were 5-2 and I believe went 1-8 the rest of the year. Except this time they can’t really play the injury card.

My point was it was ruled short, aren't only scores reviewed?  Is this "normal"?

Of course it is. Watching live, I thought he'd gotten in. I'll take 8-2 instead of an overtime where the snow was starting to accumulate on the field. There was no home cookin', I don't believe.

EDIT: Oh, Brody thought that reviewing something that was ruled as a non-scoring play was inconsistent with officiating. I can't remember, but maybe there was a lack of unanimity amongst the referees on the final play.

It's normal. It happens pretty rarely in part because well, how many "close" plays actually happen in the final 2 minutes of the 2nd and 4th Quarters that aren't scoring plays?

Unless a team is running a hurry up, there may be 4-6 plays for a team trying to kill the clock (assuming timeouts are called). For a team going no huddle/hurry up, that may be 3-8 plays depending on the drive length and the knowledge that a turnover of the ball = the other team will just kneel.
