Well, harder to think of a better way to follow up the last two episodes in Miami and the Port of Nassau then Dynamite emanating live from Cleveland (in January no less!).

Scheduled for AEW's Ohio debut tomorrow;

The Young Bucks Vs The Butcher & The Blade (with The Bunny)

Cody (With Arn Anderson) Vs Kip Sabian (With Penelope Ford)

Six Man Tag Team Match
The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho and Santana & Ortiz) Vs Darby Allin and Private Party

Plus Jon Moxley's first promo as #1 contender and much more!

* Shameless plug time! *

That interview I had scheduled with Christopher Daniels ended up happening yesterday. I included a couple questions that you guys posted in last week’s thread. (Still kicking myself for not mentioning Curry Man, though. Alas.)

Anyway, here’s the article I wrote:

According to WOR, the highest rated segment on AEW or NXT last week was the Britt Baker match   8)

Good opening segment to build the ppv.  I know last time they did an opening promo the numbers tanked, but it's good to mix things up.

The beer spot was great.  And I so want Page to the face and Omega to be the cocky heel coming out of this.

They seemed to be teasing Darby/Sammy in the last segment.  I think that would be a killer opening match at Revolution.

Fun show to be at tonight. Three lower bowl sections on the hard cam side and about half the upper deck were blocked off, but overall, the crowd was a lot bigger than I thought it would be.

Jericho just has such an incredible presence working in front of a live crowd. Big reactions for Moxley and Darby as well.

Good tag match taped for Dark. I’ll spoiler tag it:
Spoiler: show
Shawn Spears and Colin Delaney vs the Best Friends, which included a showdown between Orange Cassidy and Tully

Also, I am taking credit for the Sammy-Darby feud if that’s where they are headed:

Decent promo to start, but Mox loses track of where he's going and what he's saying a lot nowadays. He was an R-rated Roddy Piper pre-WWE, and I know you have to watch your mouth, but he comes off just as scripted as ever to me. Major note to the Inner Circle, or just whoever is booking the show overall: a 10-on-1 confrontation usually happens in the ring because it allows the 1 to overcome greater odds. It made the hired muscle look like shit because they didn't even get NEAR their target. If you aren't going to use them then why even bring them out?

Butcher & the Blade/MJF segment was what should've happened weeks ago...and ditch the zero budget clearly staged segment crap. It kinda worked for LU but not really because, you know, LU was cancelled. It kinda worked for Impact but not really because they lost multiple television deals not long after. It's pro wrestling. Act like it's a camera crew following somebody around. That's how it's always worked best.

The match was pretty solid but indicative of the worst aspects of AEW booking. I love the reason for it, that MJF wants revenge against the Bucks so he hired Butcher and the Blade...after they barely got the job done with Cody...and the match is mostly the Bucks getting their shit in with unremarkable control segments by Butcher and the Blade. These two should be greasy, grimy brutes. Their look screams it. The division NEEDS some sort of variety, too. Let them be the shitheads they so need to be.

MJF on commentary was great.

Post-match was fun. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Hangman Page was fucking great there. "Hold my beer...HOLD MY BEER!" Flipping lariat. Grab beer. Chug. Leave.

Yeah, I'm starting to like him. That was perfect.

I want to like Swole but then she throws some of the worst strikes this aide of Jenna Morasca. And she throws a lot of them. Nyla still is meh. Only Statlander, Riho, and Shida are worth a damn.

I'm not asking for every company to have WWE levels of production, but the Tron video should serve as an additional source of character building for the talent. What makes Kip "Superbad"? Show a clip of him being an asshole in a match surrounded by highlights of what he can do. He comes off like a blend of Alex Shelley and Nigel McGuinness to me, but I may be alone in that.

I'm looking forward to the 2/19 Dynamite than I am Revolution. That is a testament to how good Cody and MJF are.

Kip's gear is blue and green. That is a fucking eyesore. Is this his gimmick? He's going to make people not want to watch him because his gear hurts their eyes? The spot with "Cody helps Penelope" spot was awesome. Put that in Kip's Tron video, followed by him peaking at the camera while kissing Penelope. Now I get it.

He needs to ride a sporty motorcycle and get one ear pierced. Just one.

AEW: 828,000
NXT: 712,000

Both shows down from last week. Business as usual with demos: AEW wins all, except over 50.

Each match so far has had a commercial break.

Dr. Britt Baker wants to speak to your fucking manager, Tony. You pumped too much soy milk into her mochachino. Solid promo and this kay be what Baker needs to actually click.

Bucks/Kenny promo is saved from being total dogshit by Hangman Page being fucking awesome. I hope his ringwork reflects THIS Hangman going forward.

This match should've been a spotfest.

SCU win a nothing match. It happened and it wasn't bad but it wasn't particularly interesting, either. Dark Order can fuck right off.

Main is perfectly fine, but not something I really care to see. Private Party are trash, so it was a 3-on-1 match with some lousy side stories that didn't matter. Darby needs to hold the title by the end of 2020. Not should, but NEEDS to. Allin/Page for whatever their last big show of the year is.

I think Private Party have potential.  But, they're the perfect example of a team that needs to be working day in and out at a place like OVW was back in the day.  They also need new music, and new outfits.

One other spoiler from Dark that I meant to share the other night:
Spoiler: show
Mel and Luther turned on Kong and did a lengthy beatdown after Mel lost a match to Hikaru Shida. I don’t know if they are writing Kong off or just dumping the Nightmare Collective entirely, but Brandi wasn’t involved at all, and I am pretty sure she was backstage at the show.

I really want Page to end up as the face.  I want Omega and the Bucks as cocky heels.  Page can bring in The Revival to even up the odds in the spring.

I would pay money to see that scenario unfold. No bullshit. Page has been fantastic since he became a Tag champ, even with the rough start. A singles series with Cody's guidance would do him fucking wonders.

It seems so blatantly telegraphing a Page heel turn that I kind of expect it not to happen.

Going through her tweets and she comes off as such an incredibly pleasant person who wants the next generation to succeed and learn in ways that hers couldn't.

One of the next steps in company growth - AEW will be debuting a sneak peek at an upcoming action figure line at one of the toy conventions toward the end of the month
