I heard Charlotte Flair can be seen walking in the background in that Snickers Super Bowl commercial where they drop the giant Snickers in the hole.  Went back to try to spot her and couldn’t but I did end up seeing Bill Walton, so I guess it is a win still.

She’s actually pretty front and center around the 0:10 mark when they start walking down the field, she’s in her black robe.   I didn’t notice until you mentioned this so I looked and quickly saw her,   So that was worth the 20 seconds I spent.   Thanks for the mention my man.

DeAngelo Russell, Omari Spellman, and Jacob Evans sent to Minnesota for Andrew Wiggins, a 2021  (Top 3) protected first round pick (becomes unprotected in 2022), and a 2022 second round pick, per a WOJ BOMB.

The Chicago Sun Times is reporting that Lauri Markkanen is extremely unhappy in Chicago and wants out unless something changes and is gonna try to find any way out he can. He has been very bad while battling injuries this year, but Boylen has been using him so badly that I don't know how much is on him. Boylen seems to like Kornet more and has been cutting Lauri's minutes short while barely running plays for him. Lauri still has a lot of potential and could be good but this disaster season has hurt him big time.

Bulls front office still weirdly doesn't get mentioned enough as a garbage fire. The Knicks (and they actually made a change finally) and Kings get all the attention, but the front office of The Bulls is so in love with a coach that neither of the two center pieces of the Jimmy Butler trade can't stand. They chose a coach who is 36-74 and has proven to be bad while alienating players. The environment GarPax has cultivated over the last five years has been so toxic that I don't see any star player coming here in free agency until they are gone. The front office treats the players like shit.

Houston flipping Jordan Bell to Memphis for Bruno Caboclo.  There are some rights to swap future 2nd round picks involved as well.

Looks like it's a three team deal and the Wizards are involved too and Isaiah Thomas is going to the Clippers along with Marcus Morris.

I was excited for IT and thought that could be good for both parties, then saw a report they aren’t keeping him.

In more exciting news, read we may be getting closer to JR Smith getting his Lakers tryout though.

Man, if a change of scenery and going to winning org can bring the best out of Wiggins that's a hell of a trade for GS.  The only veteran star he's had to learn from was Jimmy Butler who hated his guts.

Russell and KAT aren't good defensively but they should be dynamite offensively.  Along with Culver and the guys they got from Denver they should be a fun team to watch.  Rosas totally remade that roster.

Big WTF to the Drummond trade

2020 1st, 2021 1st swap and a '21 2nd is a fine return for Morris.  He was fun to have on the Knicks, I wish him well with LA.  They can go with a nasty crunch time lineup of Trez, Morris, KL, George and Beverly

Ya gotta feel for Drummond. Someone on Twitter was joking that it's like he was transferred from one prison to another.

And what the fuck kind of lineup is Cavs going to put out with Drummond, Kevin Love, and Tristan Thompson? I know this is just temporary but still very odd.

Grizz aren't keeping Waiters apparently.

Trey Burke waived by the Sixers.  Guess there was only room for one Burk(e/s) in Philly

The Wizards were asking for two first-round picks for Davis Bertans.  WUT

One of the only things giving me solace about Kobe's passing is knowing likelihood of how unintentionally hilarious Dwight Howard's "tribute" to him will be at the Slam Dunk Contest next week.

Hornets are also finalizing a buyout of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.  Dallas is the expected landing spot of the former #2 pick.

Just hit me Williams was 2nd overall also.  Some kind of conspiracy, likely revenge for Alonzo Mourning leaving their franchise all those years ago.

I looked up what Dwight Howard said about Kobe's death and I feel somewhat for this post. Dwight was obviously crestfallen that he never had a full fledged reconciliation with Mamba.

According to Dwight, Kobe had accepted his invite to help him out at the Slam Dunk Contest this year but I have my doubts about that...

Knicks have quietly won 4 straight.  First time since 2017.  Of course it's against Indiana with rusty Dipo, then Cleveland, Orlando and Detroit.....but it's something.  3 wins on the road too.

They've definitely shown improvement under Miller.  12-18 since he took over after going 5-18 under Fiz.  It isn't JVG taking over for Don Nelson in 96 and he probably won't get to keep his job, but he's done well.  The rest of the season is all about getting RJ back on track and trying to develop Robinson and Knox.

Thought I had during Vince Carter's last game in Boston the other night. Do you think there's any chance the reason that Vince Carter spent last half of his career as a journeyman vet mentor was because he felt bad how he did Toronto dirty?

Maybe Pops wants to place an emphasis on vets. Only younger guys on the list I see are Bam Adebayo and Derrick White. Oh I guess Kuzma too.

Edit- How did I forget Jayson Tatum!? But still...lot of emphasis on old dogs on that list.

Oh wow/  The 2017 article I found was acting like it was new but I just skimmed it.  Good to see Cal embracing his deep Dominican roots.

I know Mike Brown just agreed to coach the Nigerian team, I wonder if we get anyone surfacing.  It is good we are starting to have enough international players where these guys really have connections, instead of when Germany recruited Chris Kaman despite the fact he had never even been to Germany, just because he had family from there in previous generations.

Best is Andray Blatche randomly joining the Philippines men's national basketball team. I think the Filipino government was just randomly trying to figure out which second/third tier NBA guy would become a naturalized citizen of the Philippines so they could play on the team and Andray Blatche was the guy they landed on.

Do people actually not think Dwight Howard is not a HOFer?

Not first ballot, I can understand but not at all!? I don't buy that argument.

I feel like people were tipping their heads mostly cause people just instinctively tip their heads when Swaggy P starts talking.

Dwight Howard has a 99.4% chance to make the HOF based on Basketball Reference's HOF probability measurer.  There are no currently eligible players with a higher rating that have not made it.

In fairness, this stat also says that Kevin Love has a 20% higher chance of making the Hall than Kawhi Leonard does.

Yeah, but I think Kawhi will be 100% by the time he retires.

Love also has a ring and, more importantly, he's had an extra three years to accumulate counting stats.
