Were you ever in a band?

Saving for a bass, always wanted to learn. Thought I would ask if anyone had any good band stories while it was on my mind.

I very briefly fronted a friend's band in middle school. We performed twice (once at a friend's birthday and once at a local music festival in the park with mostly grandmas in the audience) and only had one original song with a bunch of Korn covers. Almost no one booked us because we were kids so the club scene wouldn't touch us. Probably for the better.

I also briefly sang in an Iron Maiden cover band in college. Lasted two gigs. I remember a very attractive woman complimenting my vocals on "The Trooper".

Was the singer in a metalcore band my junior year in high school. Mostly did bad covers of As I Lay Dying, Fear Before The March Of Flames, Converge, and Norma Jean songs.
